You do realise you started the Pogba/McTom comparison right? All just to shit on Pogba?
because the lads were talking about our other players. I said I prefer Mct as a box to box because he defends and gives his all. I prefer Bruno in the AM for the same reasons. Pogba is a luxury player in the PL in midfield. He’s classy on the ball but he switches off and it’s cost us over his time here. Switzerland played through them like they weren’t there.

Watch everyone backtrack. It’s Fred and Mcts fault we can’t fit him into the midfield. Kante was the answer just a game ago. Now he’s not. He’s not a good rounded midfielder at all. He’s invisible in the defensive phases no matter who’s in beside him.

Get him home and wrap him up

Excellent tournament by him
Shame he won't win best player award, had good chance if they qualified for semi finals or finals. Had very good tournament.

Had a brilliant tournament and gets a nice rest now. Hope he stays but who knows at this point. Terrific player and feel for him, didn't deserve to be on the losing side, but Benzema aside none of the others showed up and their coach didn't help.

Unbelievably good, the chances he made for Mbappe... wow. Kylian could and should have had a hat trick. When Pog is in the mood.

Unlucky to be out, but at least he will come back fresh for us!

McTominay can't defend. He sits in midfield but he can't sense danger and very clumsy in his tackles which ironically is very similar to Pogba.

Can't smell danger either, we've had a few big discussions on it where he hasn't stopped a quick free kick (the AWB one), or allowed Harvey Barnes to just walk up to our area and twat one in.

I quite like McTom and along with Cavani, he was our best player in the EL final. But defensively sound as a midfielder he absolutely is not.

Coming back fresh for us aside I'm gutted for him, I genuinely do. I'd have loved seeing him winning the international double.

But he has a level of intensity, mobility and work rate than doesn’t let other teams settle. It’s really important in the PL. much better teams than Switzerland don't give him an inch and he goes missing in the centre. He doesn’t battle. He’ll pick a pass all day but is that enough for a central midfielder in a physical league? Fred and Mct played often in the engine room and got us second and everyone hates on them on the regular. Put rice in beside Pogba week after week and it would be like tonight. Getting cut open all game

Didn't deserve to be on the losing side my boi!! Good showing tonight. At least we now know that even of we sign supposed better forwards such as Mbappe and a world class striker, we still may not win the CL and the EPL especially if we have to play Xhaka every week

Do feel sorry for him. Not sure why people are going on about his celebration, brilliant goal and he can celebrate how he wants.

On the US broadcast they kept talking about losing the ball for the 3rd but, he also had a similar moment where he won the ball in midfield but, France didn't score. Moments like that happen but, takes nothing away from a top class performance. That ball for Mbappe who then feigned injury because he didn't put it away, that was just one of many very good moments where he affected the game.

One of the very few players that made this tournament stand out. He basically took the magic wand from Modrić and enchanted the ball to go where he wants to.

Looking forward to see him more, probably in the red shirt.

Some of his passes today were ridiculous. There was one moment where he half volleyed the ball with such delicacy that was just so satisfying to watch.

Also, he put Mbappe through at least twice and deserved at least an assist

Think people are overhyping his performances again for France. Personally thought we saw the best and worse of Pogba. Brilliant goal, some absolutely superb through balls..............but his movement out of position for the first Swiss goal following the ball and leaving gaps crossing Kane was naive, he was caught in possesion in the middle of the park for there second goal too.

All his fault they are out.

Tonight shows why he cant play CM week in week out.
You've got to ask yourself, why did Paul Pogba only create seven chances and score only one worldie?

He was ridiculous at times in regards to his passing and vision.

One of the best individual performances I’ve ever seen. Clean 10/10. Best player in the tournament so far. Sad to see him go out, was getting excited to see more of him at this level.

For al his talent going forward, he is a defensive liability. We all know that. You can't simply blame his teammates for conceding 2 after going 3-1 up. He is part of that defense and therefore part of the reason France conceded too many tonight.

Mbappe likely cost him the player of the tournament award.

He was incredible.

I hope he stays.

Midfielders of his type lose the ball in the middle of the park at times. Poor defending after that cost the goal
