Didn't come in for Mediums on the formation lap. Teams can't communicate on the formation lap so it was totally his call. What mistake did he make?

True, but they'd had plenty of time to watch the track beforehand. No radio during formation lap, though, right?
Hamilton has to be the luckiest driver ever. Lucky that his team totally mucked up the restart.Lucky drive from the overated Hamilton.
OH FFS what do expect, for him to be happy.Cry baby as well.
Yeah I saw that, big loss that not getting passed Alonso much earlier.Even 2 laps really, he was right up behind Vettel crossing the line.
Why? He didn’t do anything wrong?A break may be good for the team. They need to get their heads straight again.
His fault then.Everyone else pitted to go onto slicks at the restart apart from him
Agree to an extent. But anyone could have looked at the track 5 minutes before the restart and seen the track was dry. There’s no way every other driver instinctively knew to pit and hadn’t arranged that with the team beforehand.Correct, all downv to Lewis.
Red Bull should be invoicing Mercedes for equipment and materials at this point, what a travesty this is turning into for the challengers. And the one profiting is of course Lewis Hamilton. Can’t complain about Bottas as the second driver today, a torpedo of a performance. Yawn.
My phone keeps autocorrecting Ocon to O'connor as wellOH FFS what do expect, for him to be happy.
He fecked up, Alonso defended Brilliantly to get O'connor the win.
He is entitled to bitch and moan

Understood.Staying on inters, his call I think.

Actually that is a fair point. If Hamilton did pit on the formation remember his pit position is 1st in line, he would have had to have waited for a lot of cars to go before he could leave. In hindsight he probably would have won but 3rd today is big in the championship.

Yeah exactly, commentators just mentioned how teams were telling drivers to come in for slicks before the lap, so if Merc didn't then it isn't just on Hamilton (although he should have seen how dry it was)Agree to an extent. He's been quite fortunate in many respects though, the race he went out, Hamilton pressed a button and blew the chance to win, then this race he goes off, his car damaged, and Hamilton / Mercedes stuff up and cost him a more than likely easy win.Feel sorry for Verstappen. It isn't meant to be it seems. Great for Ocon!

The team told him rain was coming.Correct, all downv to Lewis.
