Is it possible to get a 10 place grid penalty or is 5 the most Bottas could of got for the next race.

great race from Lewis, Seb had the win only for that pit stop.

Why is everyone stopping out on track? No more fuel? They're gonna need a van to go round picking up the drivers.

Ocon did really well, avoiding all the carnage at the start then driving calmly along at the front

Ocon doesn't know where to go

Red Bull should be invoicing Mercedes for equipment and materials at this point, what a travesty this is turning into for the challengers. And the one profiting is of course Lewis Hamilton. Can’t complain about Bottas as the second driver today, a torpedo of a performance. Yawn.

Correct, all downv to Lewis.
Agree to an extent. But anyone could have looked at the track 5 minutes before the restart and seen the track was dry. There’s no way every other driver instinctively knew to pit and hadn’t arranged that with the team beforehand.

Sick sick sick race. Pity Alonso held Hammy up otherwise think we would of pinched it. Great race though, pity about the break now.

If Hamilton did pit on the formation remember his pit position is 1st in line, he would have had to have waited for a lot of cars to go before he could leave. In hindsight he probably would have won but 3rd today is big in the championship.

OH FFS what do expect, for him to be happy.
He fecked up, Alonso defended Brilliantly to get O'connor the win.
He is entitled to bitch and moan
My phone keeps autocorrecting Ocon to O'connor as well ;)

What a drive from Alonso. Some of the most exciting f1 you could wish for. Brilliant drive from Ocon too. Great race.

Actually that is a fair point.

Yeah exactly, commentators just mentioned how teams were telling drivers to come in for slicks before the lap, so if Merc didn't then it isn't just on Hamilton (although he should have seen how dry it was)

Feel sorry for Verstappen. It isn't meant to be it seems. Great for Ocon!
He's been quite fortunate in many respects though, the race he went out, Hamilton pressed a button and blew the chance to win, then this race he goes off, his car damaged, and Hamilton / Mercedes stuff up and cost him a more than likely easy win.

Lewis for driver of the day. He gave us a race and let us watch his masterclass today. If he didn't feck up by not pitting initially, he would have lapped everyone in an easy win but instead we got a great race today.

So the fault was on Mercedes and not Lewis, as he claims they told him rain was coming, before he got into the formation lap. But he could have seen how the track looked during that lap, but oh well, no use crying over spilt milk.
