I've gone for a Salah - Jota double up.

Really hope Firminho doesn't start!

Behind the right goal post as "Whiteside shoots!"
Shit decision, but pulled the trigger on the WC.

Sa (Begovic)
Rüdiger - Shaw - Reguilón (Ajer, Livramento)
Salah - Torres - Greenwood - Benrahma (Bissouma)
Calvert-Lewin - Antonio - Ronaldo
Looking at some sites online, that (or most of it) seems to be the popular squad. A new template team arises, similar to the GW1 teams

Still contemplating whether or not to include Greenwood, or change him to Jota. Also very stressed about not having TAA, but I just can't squeeze him in without total dross in most other positions.

Nowt wrong with that. I've had it since GW1 and it's done well. In fact I'd say gambling on Jota & Greenwood (if you can call it a gamble) is what has helped me steal a lead on my ML rivals. The trick will be knowing when to jump off.

Yeah, both look red hot. Pushing Jota, Greenwood, Torres into my team gives me a good spread across some big teams too. Just don't have a Chelsea contingent but I'm OK with that.

With Mount being £7.5m he's the perfect jump off for Jota/Greenwood when they start getting benched more often.

I also think Torres at £7m is worth the punt as well.

Obviously I'd never captain any of these players but their ppm should be great really if they get enough minutes.

Yeah exactly.

I had an iteration where I moved trent to cancelo, shifted 2 of jota/greenwood/torres down to a budget player.. Just to get Lukaku with Ronaldo up top.

But that balance felt wrong. A combination of say Torres and Jota will be better than just Lukaku. Especially with more bonus points being available for midfielders.

I'm with you there. Was playing around with combo's of Salah, Lukaku and Ronaldo last night but I think it's going to come down to making a decision on which premium striker and that's not a nice decision to make with both having great fixtures. Will be waiting on those pressers for any nugget of information.

Wildcarded with the Ronaldo transfer effectively destroying poor old Bruno as an FPL asset.

Raya (Sanchez)
Rüdiger - Shaw - TAA (Dier, Livramento)
Salah - Trincao - Greenwood - Raphinha (Bissouma)
Toney - Antonio - Ronaldo

What ya saying?

I'd pick Gray instead of Trincao and downgrade Sanchez to squeeze in Jimmy instead of Toney. Or even DCL or Bamford if you got 0.5-0.7 extra but else it looks good

Jimmy = More safe starter. Should score more than Toney
Gray = same output or better as Trincao
Sanchez downgrade to 4.0 = don't need 2 x 4.5 goalies

Sanchez - TAA - White - Son - Jimenez

is way better than…

Sá - Reguillon - Shaw - Trincao/Traore - Kane

isn’t it?:(

Given that Sancho (injured) and Martial are on international duty while Matic and Fred are not, surely it means Matic and Fred will start while Pogba is pushed back to the left right? Pogba plays on the left with Ronaldo or Cavani as striker means assist easy. We also played Matic and Fred double pivot vs Newcastle last season at home and we won 3-1.

I am still keeping all Bruno, Shaw, Greenwood, all on set pieces able to put a cross in for Ronaldo, Cavani, Maguire, Varane

Wolves fixtures look a treat and I've every faith Toney will score goals.

I like to rotate my keepers depending on the fixture and I aslo like a bench that plays.

DCL is one that giving me nightmares, him or Antonio...one will stop scoring soon.

Time to get Ronaldo? I have to sell Bruno to get him. I think the ones on pens is the best guy to have, but how do we know who gets them?

To play devil's advocate, I'd say Trincao will be rotated after the arrival of Whang + Podence is back. Their fixtures are great, but wouldn't you want to have the main-man Jimenez instead then?

Toney lasts for 2 gws (against Wolves and Brighton who have okay defences and then you have 4 very tough fixtures. (Liv, wha, Che, Lei)

edit: Heads up: FFScout wrote that Trincao didn't impress in the first two games, so watch out for being biased only due to just watching the United-game where he was good

Keeping Bruno for Newcastle could almost prove to be a differential at this rate  I fancy him to do well too. Bank the transfer and maybe take a -4 to get Ronaldo in once I’ve had a look at how we do. Newcastle should get spanked but as has been said 1000 times Bruno has to go if he doesn’t have penalty goals but he could easily haul vs Newcastle in a similar fashion to the Leeds game

Same idea here. I ll bench Ings and play a back four and a midfield 5 with Antonio up top and then switch Bruno and Ings out for Ronaldo and a mid price midfielder.

Ronaldo coming in forced me in to changing a lot of things.

GK - Sanchez (Begovic)
DEF - Tanganga, Duffy, Alonso (Young, Tsimikas)
MID - Salah, Greenwood, Son, Gray, Fornals
ATT - Ronaldo, Antonio (Dennis)

Picked Young because he plays as LW/LM/LCAM and not as LB/LWB so its as added benefit. He might also get a point for Clean sheets.
I wanted to keep Bruno, but i can see Ronaldo being the main man and top scorer in United.

Tempted to take Salah out for Ronaldo and go with the Ronnie Bruno double up for Newcastle. I have my wildcard to bring Salah back in once we know who is on what as my get out of jail card.

It's a tough decision though. If Ronaldo does get pens then that pretty much ends Bruno as an option for me. He's too expensive without the pens.

Salah has good fixtures. Plus he is on penalties.

They have 3 good fixtures then things get bad, if firmino is confirmed injured for those three fixtures I think Jota is a better buy and use Salah money elsewhere

We had this discussion many times though. A premium is worth only if he is on penalties and captain option for most weeks. No point in having Bruno and Ronaldo for a combined 24.5m when you have other options who will definitely score points

Don’t go by the fixture difficulty of 4 or the “red” notification that’s on the FPL website. Look at who they are actually playing. Man city and us are the only really tough games they have coming up. You can maybe include West Ham away to that.

Official FPL FDR is a complete joke.

After dozen combinations i have two options and please save my nerves by doing it iver and over again
Taa, Shaw, Dias, (White and Ayling)
Grealish, Traore, Greenwood, Benrahma (Gilmour)
Ronny, Lukaku, Antonio
OR
Taa, Shaw, Reguilon (Livramento, Ayling)
Traore, Raphinha, Son, Benrahma (Gilmour)
Ronny, Lukaku, Antonio

Basically it is;
Dias,Grealish and Greenwood vs Son, Raphinha and Reguilon.
