I don’t think you’ve made a single good post.
Holy crap, you inspired me to take a look at his post history and you are onto something. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen such a collection of spectacularly bad takes. Some highlights;

On Bellingham
He’s looking at his mate Sancho now and wishing he’d shown some ambition and joined us instead of following the money at Dortmund now. Made your bed bro, sleep in it.
On Mbappe
He’s just another Thierry Henry. Average player pulling the wool over less knowledgeable football fans’ eyes by having ridiculous amounts of pace.
On playing without a striker
Yeah, ultimately we’re Manchester Utd. It’s OK for the likes of City to play without a striker. They’re a soulless club that had no identity in the 1st place and no fans to complain about it or that were around 10-15 years ago to be able to say ‘that’s not the City’ way. But yes, we’re Utd and we should not only win but win with style.
On Euro player of the tournament
Remove Lukaku, De Bruyne, and Wijnaldum for obvious reasons. Add Bruno - if he was on pens he’d probably have 2 goals by now. Add Shaw - heard he’d scored more goals or maybe created more chances than anyone in the tournament so far or something.
On scouting (various)
Not familiar with him but this is the calibre of players we should be going for. Players with track records of playing for the likes of Juventus and Barcelona. Not raiding the Championship for the likes of Dan James. If he plays in a position we need we should be all over this.
Just Googled him and he plays centre mid which we’re in desperate need of. We should be all over this. Barca have a good track record when it comes to bringing through youth.
Not familiar with him but quick google search shows he’s being linked with clubs for around £60m. You get what you pay for and he’s a CM so we should be all over this.
And at last, a possible explanation for this lunacy.. (on home nations)
USA unlikely to win Euros, great as we are so I’ll go with Utd

random charachter assassination then concluding I’m American so must be a lunatic. Nice.

Anyway, surprised more people arent talking about this lad after his performance yesterday. Looked incredibly composed on the ball. It gets thrown around a lot, but it really is hard to believe hes just turned 18. My only criticism was that he was taking risks with the ball in dangerous areas - but he pulled it off every time so fair play to him.

I also didnt realise how tall he is, has all the makings of a top quality all-round midfielder. At this rate it might be a question of whether we want him or Haaland next summer :D

I've been a bit confused about the constant fawning about him when he comes on.

That's not to say that he's done poorly, he has looked composed enough, and given his age it is impressive. But he's not actually done much in an England shirt.

Every time Southgate makes lots of subs the performance becomes scrappy, and while this isn't solely about Bellingham it also hasn't given him a chance to do much except the odd nice touch. We seem to have stopped playing much football by the time he gets on in a bid to see out the game with a clean sheet.

Still needs time in my opinion. He's at the right place in Dortmund and would do well to stay there a few more seasons.

This season I would say he has played at a higher level in bigger games than any other English CM. Hasnt had a lot of time to play for England but he is potentially a seriously good midfielder of the type England hasnt see since the Scholes Gerrard Lampard era.

I think he is more ready than people realise but he isnt playing in the PL so its hard to be aware of that

I will be happy if we get Carmavinnga in this wndow and in a year or 2 to go after Bellingham, If Pogba, Matic and VDN leaves then we will have few spaces in the midfield and we ned to fill in qith quality

He hasn’t played that much in the tournament, what do you expect? He plays like a seasoned professional, he doesn’t have to do anything spectacular, it’s in the context of his age, his composure on the ball, his positioning when off the ball, etc. He reminds me of a 30 year old Michael Carrick. He only turned 18 less than a week ago! Yes he needs more time to develop (and he’s at the right club to do so), but he’s going to be leaving for a huge fee at some point. I’ve been very impressed by him every time I see him play for both club and country, I’ve no idea what his ceiling is, but he’s going to be a superstar I’m certain of that.

That’s some exalted company there. Heaping a load of pressure on him but that’s the problem in this country, the massive hype then the poppy syndrome rears its head

Well if you listen to the pundits and read articles they are already stating the same. Jenas was last night.
Wish people would let young talent develop instead of these absurd Lampard/ Gerrard/ Scholes comparisons. He shows a lot of ability and may yet scale those heights. We can get excited but there are a so many pitfalls

I made a comment on a thread on a discussion forum. You know a place for discussion. I didnt even compare him to them either if you could read. I compared him to the English CMs who have come after them

Tend to agree. The thing about Bellingham is that he's supposed to have a very uncommon personality in that he's already a fully mature leader of men at the age of 17. I've watched him a fair bit for Birmingham and Dortmund and there's still a long way to go for him as an actual player. His involvement for England is more that his potential is really huge because there's everything there to make a top player and future England captain. People get excited about him because of his age and how strong, mature and confident he seems.

I don't expect anything, that's the point, he should just be given time. It's just every time he comes on he's given the big build up, every good touch is praised way beyond what it really is, and people have been calling for him in the side. Southgate is doing the right thing, using him very sparsely knowing his time will be the next tournament. There is no advantage to building him up unnecessarily, we know he's a tremendous talent but I don't see the need for exaggeration while he's with the national team.

It’s just a roundabout way of saying he’s going to the top, not really sure what’s unusual about that. Might not be the greatest player to ever play the game though?

This boy is absolutely class. I know it’s only Andorra but he’s the best player on the park for me. Physically dominant, great in possession and technically very strong, he’s the midfielder Utd thought they were getting in Pogba I reckon. Would be a dream signing for me at Utd!

He's the best player on the park almost every time I watch him. He certainly was against City in the CL last year.

He just stamps himself all over a midfield in a way you rarely see in modern midfielders. So impressive.

Would he replace Pogba in that position or does he play in a different place.
I think he would be perfect in our midfield two. Much better defensively than Pogba in that role. He’s just more of a midfielder in general than Pogba. He doesn’t have anywhere near the overall attacking ability of Pogba though.

I’m not yet (will tune in for 2nd half) but tbf it is against Andorra. They are playing against semi professionals out there.
He’s class every time I watch him to be honest but I think he’s been England’s best player so far today, regardless of the opposition.

Yeh completely agree, he’s just an all round package, mobile, physical and technical all at once. Deffo one to watch!

He replaces both Keane and Scholes.
He doesn't have the passing range of Scholes and I don't think his game revolves around that as well.

I would say Vieira/Toure would be better comparisons, a box to box all action midfielder but not a great passer. That role in Dortmund is for Dahoud.

What is his future position - a sit back type ala Carrick/Pirlo, or more box-to-box, or more advanced like Pogba?
Box to box for sure. A good player maybe in the mould of Goretzka for the future. Doesn't have the passing range of Pogba / Carrick.

Biggest compliment I can give this kid is he looked just as good against City in the CL as he does tonight! Level of opponent doesn't seem to phase him at all, very confident Bellingham goes all the way to the top. England's most exciting CM.

I'm not going to pretend I watch him regularly but he is playing like a 25 year old out there. Incredible that he's only just turned 18. I'm good friends with a Birmingham City fan who reckons he's going to be in the Ballon D'Or running one day.
