I love the look of my team with the three big hitters upfront. Like I really love it and it would be fun watching their games.

BUT, taking a look at Liverpool and Wolves fixtures list….it’s just too good. It’s a tough call, but I think TAA and Salah are too important to leave out over next lot of fixtures.

Absolutely mental.

Villa and Spurs, what on earth where you doing?

Brazilian authorities - If anyone said “which country do you think will let well known PL footballers into their country and not recognise/know that four of them play in the Uk, a country that is in their quarantine list?”… you’d say Brazil?

Argentina/their FA… you absolute morons.

Madness. Sounds like they've been deported so we're back to them only missing one game presumably?

They didn’t send them back to England. They went back to Argentina which is also on the red list of countries. So if they spend one day in S. America they need still to quarantine when they get back to England.

They'll still need to quarantine either way yeah, just a question of if they play Argentina's next fixture or go back now. I guess they can still play, since it's in Argentina.

Yep those are Brazil’s rules. Not Argentina and since it’s a home game they will stay and play. Apparently they might have a problem next month as well cause there is another round of 3 games scheduled next month.

Fair, cheers. Don't have or want any of them, just interested in the farce!

So the Argentinian FA and Villa, Spurs, etc have got some time to do it properly next round?

Because they’ll need ages to google “Covid rules in xxxxxxxx”

Isn’t this also on Brazil? Everyone is a culprit here for this farce. I mean you know these 4 are coming from the PL which means England? They should have locked them down at the airport or at least when they reached the hotel.

For letting people in from the UK, when their rules are not to let people in unless they quarantine? Yeah, a bit :) (though there are stories saying they tried to interview them sooner and Argentina wouldn’t let them)

Part of me thinks they did it deliberately, but then I remember Bolsonaro is in charge of Brazil so anything’s possible.

They couldn’t reach these players for 3 whole days? Smells like BS to me.

It's all very weird. How the hell did they get to the stage of health officials marching onto the pitch 6 minutes in.. It's not like Argentina smuggled them into the dressing room without anyone knowing.

And Brazil Argentina thing? Possibly not even the most amazing story of the night…

Damn. Puts our breaking into the stadium to get the game postponed to shame!

Thinking of this, would like some thoughts. Would have to WC to do it. Bruno, Ings, Jesus and Greenwood out- Ronaldo, Lukaku, Dele Alli (not sure about him) and Sarr in with 0.6 mil still in the bank.

Sanchez, random goalie that doesn’t play

Shaw, White, Dier, Veltman, Manquilo

Grealish, Salah, Dele, Sarr, Bissouma

Toney, Ronaldo, Lukaku.

thoughts on the team and what I should do with the money? Could use the 0.6 to upgrade a midfielder (have exactly enough to do Dele to F.Torres for example), strengthen the bench or even get DDG in goal.

With Kane back in the team, Dele should not be in yours. The only thing that was tempting about him is that he'd be on pens if Kane left but Kane stayed so no point in him. Upgrade him and your team is fine.

Yeah I only have Raphinha. Thankfully he didn’t go.
Same here. Hmm, I tried to find sources on whether Raphinha did go or not, as he didn't feature against Chile nor Argentina. So has he not travelled or has he travelled? Hopefully he wasn't part of the circus

Defence light.

Midfield so so but better scores usually come from playing 352 or 343 so your midfield depends on certain players playing and doing well in their respective teams/tactics. Bissouma won’t get much (though should play) so you need Grealish, Sarr and Dele to play, and score points… not sure. Better MF options for less, bolster defence

i m o but up to you.

Ronaldo straight into my team. Captain as well. There is no better fixture than Newcastle at home to make your full debut. This has goals written all over it. No reason why Ronaldo shouldn't start. He's been training and played a match a few days ago.

Torres is a must have imo

He's been killing this season and is only getting better. Will end up at 9.0 by the end of the season like Sterling did one year.

seriously, dont over think it (7.0, starting city striker ffs!), get him in!

He's only got points in the PL in that 5-0 thrashing of Arsenal... They won't play Arsenal every week.

Yep. Although I have him at the moment I'm worried about him even starting when Foden and KDB return.

The Sun (the most reliable of papers, coughs), reckon he most likely WON'T start.
So I dare say a lot of us are waiting to see if Ole gives any snippets before Saturday.

He's not even training until Thursday or Friday apparently.

Ole normally does all press confs with a straight bat, doubt he’ll give anything away?

Selfish.

I'm not risking it for Ronnie this week. I'd need to take a -4 and o could end up trading out Bruno who, if Ronnie doesn't start, is probably our best bet for mega points. I'd be so pissed off in that situation that I'm waiting it out. Now torn between Bruno for Navas or Grealish for when he does come out. I'm leaning towards Navas at the mo with a note to keep some cash spare to switch him out if Pep suddenly decides he doesn't like him.

Yep. Unless Ole gives any definite that Ronaldo starts it may be smarter to captain Bruno.

What to do with Ings would be the dilemma though. He was the guy who was going to Ronaldo, with Bruno down to Gray or a City guy.
DCL is an option but then would need to work a plan the next week.
Gray and Ronaldo in would work from Bruno and Toney out with a decent 0.4m left.

That'd leave a strong outfit of

Sanchez
TAA Shaw Coufal White Tsim
Salah Gray Greenwood Benrahma Gilmour
Ronaldo DCL Antonio

Same, I swapped Bruno out for him. Let’s be honest, Bruno at 12.0 is massively over priced if he’s off penalties.

Erm. No thanks. You do know he started all three games and he only scored against Arsenal? So no he hasn’t been “killing” it. And he won’t be 9.0 by season end. He is just another flavor of the week who ownership will be reduced when the likes of KDB and Foden return.

Yeah this is my thinking. I'm not entirely sure Ronaldo is worth it, or how he'll perform in the team, but feck it.

Never mind Jesus who (allegedly) City were considering letting go and Pep said no, he has a place for him this season. Has also played Sterling through the middle before and with Grealish coming in, Sterling may have less opportunities wide and could play centrally against some teams.

Unless Torres scores goals every week, he’ll get rotated… and even then, I wouldn’t trust Pep not to rotate him anyway. It’s his way… he’s got the squad and he rotates to ensure they can have a crack at the Pl and Cl. He’s basically got two (or three) options everywhere… why would he play one player week in, week out? (Last season only four players started 30 or more Pl games for City)

The potential of Ronaldo not starting is making me wonder whether to captain Salah for this one
