Need assistance:

Which one of these would people lean towards:

Jimenez - Not scored yet but surely that must change soon? Great fixtures.

Armstrong - Decent fixtures but that Soton front line doesn't fill me with confidence.

ASM - In form but surely that will stop soon? He's massively over performing his xG

And also, is it worth taking a -4 to swap Raphinha to Sarr? Sarr has great short term fixtures but the move just feels a bit knee-jerky?

Anyone thinking of trying to squeeze Ronaldo / Lukaku up front with Salah after Chelsea’s fixtures turn next week?

I’d thought I would do Ronaldo > Lukaku, but I’m not sure it makes sense anymore given Ronaldo’s form.
Not for me. As others have said you can only captain one. Also if you look at the highest scorers every week they're nearly always defenders or midfielders. I think investing all your money into 2 forwards is not economical.

That said it will be interesting to see what everyone does when Salah jets off to the Afcon in January. Will spice things up a bit.

Don't like any of em which is why I'll hold Bamford and hope he's fit for next week.

If I had to pick I'd go Jimenez>Armstrong>ASM in that order although you have to say on form so far this season it'd be the reverse of that.

Shaw TAA Livramento
Raphinha Sarr Jota Salah Benrahma
Ronaldo (C) Antonio

White Toney Amartey on the bench

What do we think? Livra or white to start? Honestly Spurs look shit up front, but then again they could just ruin arsenal's party. Who would you have as first sub if Raphinha doesn't make it?

Still got a transfer left this week - my only move was Gilmour to Sarr

Had a look at it but I'm finding myself carrying a lot of 4.5m fodder to make it work. Would be easier with a wildcard though, undecided if it's worth using for it.

Bachmann
TAA, Shaw, Duffy
Salah (v), Greenwood, Sarr, Gray
Antonio, Maupay, Ronaldo (c)

Subs: Sanchez, Soucek, Livramento, Lowton

Lowton and Soucek are a bit of a problem for me but no rush to get them out while they are on the bench. Maupay is one that will almost certainly go in my WC team, planned for GW8.

Where I got to is that you would need to lose Trent, and if you do that it’s very workable.

Not sure it’s worth it and I’d typically always take TAA, but if you were to play two Chelsea defenders as two of your three then that alone should guarantee points from defence.

Yeah, that price bracket now is bottom of the barrel stuff. I would have kept Bam but firstly, no idea how long he's out and secondly, I might not have enough bench cover as Brownhill is flagged and Raphinha might also not play.

Thinking of shifting out Torres for Sarr(?) as he played a large stint v Wycombe midweek, and I'm not sure he's going to be the striker-sans-midfield-points I'd hoped. City are a nightmare for Fantasy.

I wildcarded last week and have TAA, Salah, Ronaldo and Lukaku.
Seeing how it works out for a few weeks and can always transfer out one and buy whoever I want.
Has left me a bit short in defence as can't afford to bring in Chelsea or City defenders.
Going to give a few weeks and decide if it's worth it.

That’s exactly the move I made. I’m pretty much done with the Pep roulette. You either invest in their biggest hitters or avoid, the guys on the fringes can break you and there’s more reliable options to be had.

I’m torn whether to start Toney or Dunk. Every time I’ve benched the latter he’s got a clean sheet.

Yeah, I'm in a similar bind over which keeper to start this week (Brighton or Palace). Brighton haven't kept a clean sheet against them since they were promoted (I think), but they're a much better team...

Need to choose 2 out of 3 on a wildcard:

Benrahma, Sarr and Odegaard.

Ok pals, do I stick with this, and hold 2 transfers? 0.7m in the bank

Sanchez
TAA Shaw Coufal White (Tsim)
Salah Gray Benrahma Greenwood (Gilmour)
Ronaldo (c) Antonio (Bamford)

Or get ahead of Chelsea's hot run, and do Coufal to Rudiger now? Coufal has a depleted Leeds away, then Brentford home. Whilst Rudiger has City.

That would rule out a potentially risky for having squad cover Antonio & Bamford to Lukaku & 4.5m chump next week.

Probably thinking that 2 big strikers and a filler, when you also have a filler in defence and midfield isn't the smartest move.

Am thinking to leave alone and re-assess. Decent strong 11 this week, with Gilmour as emergency cover.

Will be a good split between Salah/Ronaldo and to a lesser extent Antonio this weekend for captain. I have all 3 but on Ronaldo at the moment for the home factor and also the fact that he's a greedy shit. Reckon we'll probably get a pen this weekend as well. Would be funny/not funny if Bruno takes it though.

Talk me out of going Kovacic.

Been quite impressed with him lately, as he's looking quite live. He is overperforming right now compared to his xGI data though (+1,2) but he still is quite involved (xGI 1.8 for last four matches) compared to his 5.1 price. So that's about a goal or an assist nearly every 2nd/3rd match.

I got 0.6 in the bank, and Raphinha/Ayling is possibly out so I need to field a team.

I want to go 3 Chelsea players for the next many matches (gw7 and on) but am I missing out on anyone if I do it? Lukaku+a safe defender I prefer as the other two Chelsea-men.

Current team:

Sanchez
Trent
- Ayling - Shaw - Williams - Amartey
Salah - Bruno - Raphinha - Gray - Brownhill
Ronaldo - Antonio - Obafemi

So should I go for Kovacic, or just go straight from Ayling to Christensen for instance?

I think it’s only a matter of time before Edouard starts and hits a few for palace. Keen to possibly get ahead of the curve there. Toney should also get between 10-15 goals. I think Sarr is better value for Watford as he’s nailed all season. Jiminez surely has to come good but I brought him in last week for DCL and he made current Martial look like Alan Shearer! He was miiiiles off it. Such a terrible game from him. He’s currently the weakest link in that attack. I’m happy to miss out on his first haul or two if he starts coming good but he looks so far off it currently I’d avoid. So Maupay Toney or Edouard for me!

I like the Edouard pick but he seems to be very limited minutes. Once he starts getting 90, he could bang.

Toney is a no no from me. Look at his fixtures (Liverpool, West Ham, Chelsea, Leicester)... not ideal. After that, he becomes an option again.

Jiminez has great fixtures but as you said, looks completely out of it and his assists all fall to Traore, who couldn't hit a barn door.

Maupay is decent, with ok short term fixtures but he's such a boring pick and Brighton dont create that many chances. He also cries like a baby.

You forgot Armstrong. Soton have good fixtures and he has good stats and has already returned a couple of times. He's also a £6m enabler. I think I may go for him.

Looking at just the next 2, as will WC most likely in GW8. And Armstrong has Wolves and Chelsea in those 2 - so not that excited about getting him in

Ahh I'm thinking a little more long term. Although I feel he can score against Wolves.

Our squads are identical, bar Gilmour and Tsimi. I have the same issue with Bamford too, but I was planning on using the wildcard before week 8, so I’m not sure if it’s worth rolling over a transfer this week.

I’ve been playing around with a team to get Ronaldo and Lukaku, which can be done in three moves.

Bamford to ASM
Greenwood to Gallagher
Antonio to Lukaku
(Optional Benrahma to Raphina if you preferred him).

Assuming you choose to bench Tsimi and Gilmour, you can then rotate whoever has the toughest fixture onto the bench. Admittedly I haven’t checked the fixtures, but this would probably only be a four week stretch to accommodate Chelsea’s good fixtures.

Would be interested to hear your feedback.
