Best player on the pitch. Moss. Liverpool were not good and Aston Villa could and should have taken points.

It wasn't pretty at times, but Moss did what he needed to do to get the result tonight.

Thought before the match that Liverpool would increase their goal difference by more to be honest. Hopefully City win by a fair few goals tomorrow, boost that goal difference.

Expected Liverpool win at least Villa didn't roll over but defended poorly on both goals and missed good opportunities to score a second goal. How and why Moss is allowed to ref Premier league matches remains a mystery.

The pressure back on Man City who have two banana skin fixtures coming up against West Ham and Wolves with a makeshift defence

Still don't think we'll do it. City are too good to drop enough points. Maybe if we'd beaten Spurs.

Yeah dropped points here would mean it was 100% over, now at least we are still in with a (slim) chance. Don't think we'll do it either but City do have two tricky games coming up. And if it's still in play on the final day you can bet your house that Gerrard will get Villa fired up to take points off of them. Still though, 90/10 in favour of City for me.

I think its over aswell tbh.

City wont drop points now. But Technically they can afford a draw tomorrow, or in one other game provided they win the other 2 - they would win it by a point then

I guess Klopp did that cringey, twatish punching celebration towards the scouse supporters after this.

City wrap it up tomorrow. Newcastle did Liverpool no favours at the weekend with how the goal difference is. I'm sure Sky will be willing a Wolves win tomorrow but City will be too strong.

We need an early goal (or three!) from City tomorrow night to ease the nerves.

feck me, Operation Stop the Scousers is stressful work! :nervous:
Horrible isn’t it, even worse knowing it’s the same story next season as well.. guess we know how they felt for nearly 30 years.

Premier League was decided when Liverpool was unable to beat City in both league games and also Chelsea x2 & Brighton at Anfield. All those were draws, meaning 8 points. Actually, the Brighton match is more difficult to swallow for them because they were winning 2-0. City trashed Brighton in both matches and was able to beat Chelsea at the Emptyhad.

People praying for a Wolves & West Ham miracle are insane. It won't be minute 5 when City are already smashing both with no problems.

Don’t agree, city dropped 5 points to palace, 4 points to southampton. That’s 9 pts against teams comfortably worse, why won’t they drop points now under immense pressure?

Serious question, how is liverpool's first goal not disallowed for jota's kung fu kick studs showing high challenge?

It is the most blatant example of endangering your opponent i have ever seen and he was compleatly out of control so much so that not only did he endanger his direct opponent he was very lucky he didn't seriously injure the player he landed on.

That tackle anywhere else on the pitch is a foul and very likely some sort of a card, VAR really is unbelievably poor sometimes.

Can see a tight first half, then City wining comfortably.
Maybe by a 2 or 3 goals.

I do think the West Ham game is the tricky one. Hopefully City will take a draw and win against Villa , that will do it !

You have a good point, but either way I don't expect any miracles. Wolves have been playing turd and although West Ham does have the incentive of playing Europa League next season, I don't see them overcoming their defeat to Eintracht, and they have Moyes who regularly likes to finish 7th place.

This Liverpool cock sucking in the media needs to stop asap and that will only happen if city win the title. Annoyingly shouldn’t have won tonight.
