Well, my eyes tells me that he is a significant worse player than he was when he were scoring at that rate.

But I think your original point was that he deserves respect for his goalscoring record which I agree with. As I said he used to be very good. Any lack of respect stems from him often looking clumsy and limited but he used to make it work.
He was the top goalscorer in the league for you lot before tonight's game. I'd like to think he still is making it work.

Tonight is a reminder that Pep made a number of odd subs in that 2nd leg against Real Madrid which included taking De Bruyne off with 15 minutes to play.
He clearly felt he had the game in the bag.

Ahh, I forgot about Werner, but I guess if you can move those on, then yes, I could see it happening.
Pulisic might be least likely given our ownership but I think we'll have significant outgoings - word is we've already been in talks with Raphinha and he's keen on Chelsea; especially as he has a cheap buyout clause in his contract that becomes active if Leeds are relegated reportedly.

I thought it was more that he wanted an extra body in midfield because Camavinga's dynamism was a problem for City - defensively KdB was playing as one of the front 2 so by taking him off they'd have theoretically been safer down the middle.

Not that I give a toss, but if you're a Liverpool supporter it must be so fecking frustrating watching this City team. Yes, I know they dropped a few points against Spurs, but you're doing everything you can to keep the pressure on, then these feckers play the next day or whatever and absolutely muller a team. There's just no let-up.

I'd be pissed if this was United in Liverpool's situation.

Can't believe City let Ferran Torres go and kept Sterling. Home grown quota and all that I guess.
Torres wanted to go, Sterling still the better player ATM even though he's stuck the place out tonight with his finishing

Off course Laporte had to get an impact injury. Our cb-partnership in the last matchday against Villa will be Grealish and Scott Carson
40m Ake is knocking about isn't he?

You'll have so much of the ball in the last 2 games you'll see it out.

Glad you don't have to face Liverpool with that backline though!!

Explains why he's taken Fernandiho off with 15 to go!

Beautiful that they are suffering. My what’s app has never been so quiet.

De Bruyne is phenomenal and I'm embarrassed that I once claimed Bruno was just as good :nervous:

A draw is basically a loss when you're in a title race with City. Can barely afford to drop any points.

I would give my right arm for Utd to be in Liverpools situation.

I get you but there’s a gulf between how Liverpool are winning games and how this City team operate 95% of the time in the league. Liverpool frequently win games they may not deserve to whilst City drop points in games they absolutely dominate. It’s phenomenally rare to see City outplayed whilst Liverpool only look *this* dominant maybe 5-6 times across a 38-game season. There’s a huge difference between the teams, for me.

Fernandinho were holding his hamstring as well. At least Ake seems to be okay allthough he were reported to not be fit. Rodri-Ake against West Ham with Gundogan and Bernardo in midfield against West Ham I think, which isn't the end of the world

Why I don't understand people who think Haaland will flop there. If a dimwit like Sterling can get goals in that team, imagine what an actual goalscorer will do.
Exactly. He will probably get fewer of those goals where he runs half the length of the pitch, and he might not immediately fit flawlessly into the build-up play, but he will score a ton of goals. He actually has extremely good movement in the box.
