Soulless sports washing vanity project, why would anyone want to watch three pro footballers playing farmers every weekend?

Oh I agree with that. When the pandemic started and I saw so many struggling it anyways made me fall out of love a little bit with football because the money is obscene now but this sort of thing just makes it way way worse. I don’t even like Madrid but at what level does this madness stop

Not sure what LaLiga has to do with this?

But I do feel that Mbappe signing for PSG shows that he isn't ready for challenge or afraid of it. Instead he chooses to play in league that is maybe fifth in Europe for ton of money. I can understand him choosing money before football if he needs and wants money.
There's nothing brave about joining Madrid to win the CL though, or City to dominate the best league in the world. It's far more challenging to try and win PSG their first CL than the other possible options presented to him which dominate their own league.

Like I said in the other thread won’t be taking him seriously for a few years yet at least.

Really weird all the fuss over a player who still has it all to prove at the top level.
Is this a joke you have to read the other thread to understand or do you really believe he hasn't proven himself at the top level?

Tebas is fighting for everything that is good and pure in football.

The likes of City, PSG and Liverpool are evildoers who should be banished from the world game.

Give over. He doesn’t give a feck about “everything that is good and pure in football”, he’s just upset it means less viewers and therefore less money for his own league.

What is La Liga making a complaint? Surely it should be Madrid. It’s like the EPL complaining if a club doesn’t get a player and I’ve never seen that happen. What a strange system in Spain.

It has to do with challenge. French league is so unequal that winning it shows nothing if you are PSG. No offence to you as PSG supporter. I don't blame Mbappe signing for that kind of money. But he will never been seen a one of great players by playing in that league. You need to play in best league possible.

The popularity of their league is declining. They've lost Messi, Neymar, Ronaldo and have not got any superstars of the same following.
Still better and more exciting then one team league. French league is just like Scottish league when Celtic dominated where the season ended in November. If you have so called normal season.

Another 3 years of failing in europe and then what? I feel like Perez would not sanction a move for him again, which would just leave City or Newcastle

Tebas throwing stones in glass houses, La Liga had no problem with this.
is this even real? what is that per week 3.5 mill or something? Why even pay him that. Im sure he would have stayed for a 10th of that. Heck they could have just spent the money on Salah, Haaland, trent and Van Dijk still have cash left over and would have a much better chance of winning the Champions league. Makes no sense

Unless the regen of Messi and Ronaldo are kicking it around at that point, Perez and Madrid will be on their knees for him again

La Liga account for half of the top 16 transfer fees. And as much as I hate Liverpool, I wouldn’t group them with those other two funded pisspot clubs.

It was in 2018, I think. Not sure about that — I hardly imagine this insane figure was their first offer…!

It will drive a super League structure eventually, I see that an inevitable. So that is why I say that. Seems obvious to me
That's not what will drive a Super League but the likes of Perez will sell you that idea. The goal of a super league is for a select group of clubs to concentrate and confiscate Football increasing revenues. They have tried to do this for a long time and will try to do it until they succeed.

How much money does a person need. Whether he stayed at PSG or moved to Madrid he'd have been set for life. If his decision was motivated solely by the fact that he can now buy a small country then frankly that's a bit sad

He will not spend his whole carreer in France, even if he leaves in 2025 he'll be 26, he'll have plenty of times to make a mark in an "historic" club. He could have 1 more world cup or a CL title in the bag by then (or maybe nothing).

People tend to forget how young he still is.

Also, a lot of people say that he'll never be rated if the keeps playing in ligue 1 and yet, the whole football world revolved around his transfer for the past couple of days. I'd say he's already rated pretty well.

Two birds, one stone. Mbappe to disappear off any footballing relevance proving himself as the mercenary he is. And Real Madrid fecked about in the transfer market. Love to see it. :D

Yeah because Mbappé obviously wasn't relevant in the past few years, people barely knew who he was.

How much will he earn over the course of the contract? Doesn’t he also have full image rights?
