Excellent. Support the signing100%. Don’t expect him to be a very dominant player for us, but hope he can make a difference from time to time.

So let’s be honest, none of us know what the plan is for Eriksen, Bruno, and Donny.

Donny gotta be the weakest link. Poor guy, should hand in a transfer request.

Christian Eriksen completed just 74% of his passes last season. You guys are in for a bit of a surprise.
Whilst he isn't here to replace Bruno, to state a stat as being poor without any context really irritates me!

What percentage of those passes were forward? Over ten yards? Were through balls etc.

Context is key when stats are concerned. Eriksen got 4 assists and one goal in 11 appearances for Brentford, that's pretty good going.
Playing that difficult pass is often how these players like Eriksen and Bruno get so many assists, whilst also being the reason their passing stats sometimes aren't great,

they speculate to accumulate.

So you’re signing an anti-vax snake and someone who doesn’t want to leave their club? Lolzy

Said at the start of the links to us I couldn't see the point of it but with the way the window has gone and with the current set up of players we actually need more quality players like Eriksen in. I hope he gets to play a lot because he's a very technically gifted player, something we're really short of.

Agree. Showed last season at Brentford what a very good player he is which is something I don’t think many people anticipated after what happened at the Euros. Good signing by the club.

In Norway apparently.
Thanks, martinez and eriksen should link up with the squad soon then but I’ve been reading that there not going to Australia as they’ll only be there for a few days even though both the palace and villa game are in Australia. Wonder if they both train at carrington then and link up before the atletico game.

He's already the best midfielder we have until Frenkie (hopefully) gets here. I don't get why some think he's coming to sit on the bench? He played as a no.8 for Brentford last season so he's not strictly a CAM anymore.

So is he coming in to rotate with Bruno or maybe challenge for his place. He's arguably the better player.

Think he’ll play plenty of games as an 8 for us. Along with Bruno as a 10. They both have great work rates. In the toughest games, I think probably only one will play, but I’m fairly sure he’s been signed to play deeper, with our emphasis on keeping the ball and using it well. He presses really well, not the best tackler but I don’t think that matters if you are trying to win the ball back high up the pitch and then release it quickly into dangerous areas.

Really excellent signing. We’ve now brought in Malacia and Eriksen, for a combined net spend of about 4m, accounting for sales. Wage bill is also massively down, and I think the squad is better already than last year. Pogba has been replaced with a player much better suited to our play, and on what? Half the wages. We still need a Matic replacement, but Cavani, Lingard and Mata won’t be missed.

If we can bring in Martinez and De Jong, our squad will look a whole lot better than last year. We need a forward, undoubtedly, because we lack depth there. But I’m very happy with how our window is progressing so far.

Nah he'll play behind Bruno and replace McTominay
I'd like that. Although I don't think McTominay is awful and he's a useful squad player, Eriksen is obviously on a different level.

Did he play in that position for Brentford then? Can't say I paid too much attention to them last season.
