He seems a powerful dribbler that keeps the ball close to his feet. Makes him exciting to watch.

Would have liked to see him shoot a bit more though, over passed it to the likes of Chong.

I wouldn't say so, I'm not even certain I rate Garnacho as the best in his age group, as good as he is.

Greenwood's the best player I've ever seen at youth level, it'll be another 15 years before we see someone like him again.
He really was, the bastard. Unreal talent, such a shame it went like this.

Garnacho however looks very promising, and was easily the standout player today in my opinion. What I love about him is that he doesn't seem to be scared on the pitch, always looking to attack the defenders. Looking forward to see more of him during the season.

He was bright in the first half but I think he held onto the ball a bit too long at times. I felt like he was trying a little too hard to impress and make things happen on his own. I do like the confidence he has though. I wouldn't be opposed to him going out on loan, not sure he'll get a great deal of game time this season.

Yeah he looked really good, bit more strength and he'll be a force. I think ten Hag will be very happy with that.

Kid is going to be a superstar. Really good performance. For whatever we’ve lost in Greenwood I hope Garnacho eventually replaces it. Exciting talent!

He has a similar quality to a young Ronaldo. He isn't scared and is ridiculously direct. I'd keep him and play him as 1st back up. You can see he has that drive to win.

Very exciting player. He can be immense for us.

Sad with MG, his generational talent. Wonder what will happen in that case. That said, I’m excited about Garnacho and the other lads as well. Bright future for us.

He has all the making of a quality footballer. Good pace, close control, good technique, intensity.
Can he play on the right?

Can't recall seeing much of him on the right. He's very two-footed so may be worth a go at some point.

Fingers crossed we tie him up to a long contract with his current deal expiring next year

Aren't Liverpool sniffing around?
Juventus too. Also received an honorary call up to the Argentine NT just to sort of let him know they liked what they saw and to get him to lock his choice in early over Spain.

Clearly has big rep around him in the scene.

I think he can at least take Dan James role, powerful runs with the ball - right away as a start. Should be tried on the right, if he has a decent cross on him he can be our backup for both LW/RW.

Very exciting player, fast but also excellent control on high speed. Somewhere in between Sancho and Rashford.

Just came back from the game and he was by far the most exciting player today. Every time he got the ball we were up on our feet. He is class.

Keep him at all costs.

Not only his dribbling abilities that impress me, but him knowing when to pass that stood out for me imo, there was an occasion where he cut in from the left and Ronaldo made a run but tightly marked, he decided to ignore his run is what stood out for me. There are quite a few players in our first team squad that arent capable of this.

Great talent. You can see he probably needs more time being coached with the first team but we could have a real gem here.

His pace and directness is something we lack in the team, other than Rashford. His close control when running with the ball is much better than Rashford however.

Would like to see him get some games in the cups this season. Sign that fecking contract.

He's just got that special thing about him.

A tad worried about his contract situation though if it does run out next summer.
His contract is till 2025, looking to give him new terms. Nothing to worry about

we’re looking to give him better terms and if he doesn’t accept then we’ve got him for 3 years.

Only signed his contract in 2021

ETH is great at working with young players and moulding them to fit his style.

this kid will be brilliant working with Erik, IF (and that is a big if, if he was dropped for being late 2x in pre-season as 10 years ago any kid who did that would be torn to shreds by Rio, Rooney etc!, it ok to do it now?) he is willing to work hard and have a hardcore manager who demands the best

those who sign with klopp and guardi know the drill with them and we should demand the same

Good news if true, transfermarkt still have it down with his current deal ends next summer.

Anybody got a highlight reel from today for him? Would love to see it. Having seen what I have seen of him he has always looked really bright.

Looks an exciting player but people are saying some wild things after that performance.

There is just something about his game that makes him seem like a special talent. A lot of young players boss it at youth level, but fail to translate it to senior level. In very little that we've seen of Alejandro, he's not one of those players. He seems to be completely unfazed, plays with a lot of confidence and I'd even say arrogance, that makes him seem like a potential star in the making.

Really good display today. Made you wonder whether Ronaldo plays with number 7 or number 49 at his back.

Thank you ! He does look electric in a couple of those to be fair. How can you be a United fan and not get a little too excited for a talent young forward haha

Said it before in some other thread, that he seems special. Always giving that 5-10 % extra which makes his performance standout from the rest. Not afraid to get stuck in even in a lost cause. Dare I say but reminds me a bit of Rooney in this respect.

Really hope that he makes it big over here.
