Crazy, a breakout season where he was good for brighton and he is a £50m player. On one hand you applaud Chelsea for getting deals done quick, its becuase they dont give a monkeys about money though. £100m for Lukakau and then loan him for 2years for about £15M back. I personally think Chilwell is a better left back anyway

This seal smacks of the two Chelsea have made in the Brighton left back and Villa youngster. Decent talented young players making a move to big fof them too early at a club littered with players in there position. The Villa player has little chance of breakign through, Chilwell is a better left back then the Brighton one.....I think Sarr is a good player, not got much of a chance or run of games to prove himself, grat deal for Monaco or Fulham

Seen him lauded by pundits like Jamoe Redknapp and spoken of as a huge star. Can definately see ability but awful move for him. Chelsea are getting a real talented player not ready for a relatively low fee for them.....the player is going to a club where several youngsters have failed already he may be more talented than....but how does he get a game with there midfield, he didnt look quite ready at Villa.....waste of a move, wait for him to go on loan.

I wouldnt have minded us taking a punt on him, but we are a club bereft of midfielders....Chelsea have Mount, Kante, Jorghino, Kovacic, Loftus Cheek, Ampadu, Barkley, Gilmour, Gallagher, from what I have seen he maybe gets in ahead on one or two and they are a million miles away from first team appearances currently, silly boy

Not really. His talent was never that of Chelsea level. It was an opportunistic signing as he was a free agent designed to flip him for a fee if he did well on loan. Circumstances forced him into playing big part last season but he mostly always looked out of his depth.

Cucurella is a pretty absurd comparison to make here.

Seems to line up with increased Chelsea interest in the player too. Maybe the dominos are finally falling and FdJ -> Chelsea, Bilva -> FCB.
