The straw that broke the camel's back, we are firmly mid table fodder. A once great club in a slow steady but very permanent decline.
The case at Arsenal has been an eye-opener in how little fans care as long as the team is doing well. It's not unthinkable that it could happen here with Greenwood as well.
Ighalo was a short-term stop gap until we could find a proper #9. We didn't find one, so we got in Cavani, who was supposed to be a short-term stop gap until we could find a proper #9. He stayed for two years, we didn't find a #9 and now we are signing a 33 year old racist dickhead, whose career peaked in a midtable West Ham side, presumably as a short term stop gap. It's a total shambles.
Exactly my point, a couple of goals more outweigh a clean character for many fans. It's not even a conscious thing, it's part of the tribal football nature.
A few months back, amidst the links and rumours, United fans were sniffing at signing Robert Lewandowski. Now, United are looking to sign Marko Arnautovic. This has to be a joke!

I honestly don't think we will win the PL in then next 10 years and by that time we will be behind Newcastle also as well as the others we already can't compete with. Dark days ahead for us IMO. We are like Liverpool of 10 years ago but without a Gerrard, Torres or Suarez.
To only sign a cheap LB, a CB and a free midfielder is just nowhere near enough after the disaster of last year. Every man and his dog knows we needed this and at least another CDM, RB, RW and a striker....... Pathetic.
