Any fee mentioned so far?

I guess we’ll exercise the contract option so effectively we’re negotiating from a position of him having two years left.

Anything close to Transfermkt’s 54 million valuation should be accepted post haste.

Good. If left to the dithering club we'd never move forward, we'd just keep renewing contracts. The more of the old bunch who want to move the better. Forces our hand to bring in new players and gives Ten Hag the opportunity to bring in more suitable players

I don’t understand the angling for a new deal argument. He’s been god awful for practically 2 years, he has no bargaining leverage.
This rumours/news first made its rounds end of last season. There is a pattern with our players or most high earning players in general.
New manager - player received interest and waiting to talk to manager to decide
Form scrutinised - better team showing interest
Position under threat - links surface

All these call for assurances from the club and what’s the definite way? If not signing new and improved terms.

My personal thoughts are that we've seen the very best of what he can do. He's also lacking a permanent position in the side and has too many glaring flaws. He isn't a main striker, he isn't a number 10/attacking midfielder, and he isn't a winger. He also takes too many touches, tries to do too much himself, and can't finish.

If a good offer comes in, it's seriously worth considering. 1 year ago, I would've just said no outright, but he was so terrible last year. The team in general were bad, but fecking hell, he stood out in a bad team.

I'm tired of mediocrity. Get someone in who knows how to score goals.

These stories are bullshit. A striker who had stunk the place up for two years and regressed massively is not going to be on any list of any top club looking to challenge for domestic and European honours.
Unless it was leaked by the PR team because the current club is used to panic and give contract extensions to "preserve value"

This is almost certainly a ploy to get a new deal. His contract isn't up and his team knows we have to be on board for this to make any sense. They arent fooling anyone. PSG will almost certainly not give him what he's asking us.

He has really gotten too comfortable using the media in a distatsteful manner to push his self interest. He didn't even wait to turn his performances around. The bar us low enough. 5 decent games would have been all it took to sway the amateurs running the club.

Did Rashford's agent come out with this story about PSG, because there's no way they are seriously going for him.

I have no problem with him leaving, but for his own good I hope he ends up at a club where his competition is not Messi, Neymar and Mbappe

He wasn't god awful the season before last. 20 goals and 13 assists is not god awful anywhere, let alone in England.

Granted he was shocking last season but he wasn't alone there.

This story is nonsense anyway. PSG won't sign him.

My guess is his camp is keeping dialogue open in case he doesn't recover this season so that he moves on next season, and this is like a last chance season from both sides.

I smell bullshit.

Not even PSG would be silly enough to pay good money for a player who has faltered for two seasons and more.

All screams of a new contract whether that be from Rashford's camp or United softening the blow when they signed him up on a pay rise.

If the rumours were true in anyway, bite their f**king hand off and get shot! Waste of space.

He's not started a game and scored in 15 months.

He hasn't scored at all since January.

If PSG are offering £60m plus I'd sell.

The club are mugs and will fall for the PSG thing, he'll get handed an improved contract that he absolutely does not deserve. If anything his wage should reduce.

The club will know exactly what is going on, but will offer him a deal regardless. Rashford is just looking for a massive wage out of us

Its not two seasons or more, its a season and a half, coinciding with the time where we've been at our very worst as a team.

Why shouldn't a top team think they could get him back to a high level? Obviously he's been poor for a while, but let's not pretend he has never been good.

He had one very good season where it wasn't top class. He's not a 300K GBP player, that's probably the minimum he's going to ask for. He'd be the 3rd highest earner next to Varane and Sancho, which is insane.

At the end of the day, is Marcus Rashford worth £300K+ per week as United's number 10 who may have to start week in and week out like Maguire, regardless of performance? That undermines EtH. The club have to say, Marcus is worth this much and nothing more. If he doesn't want our offer, then he's got to be moved on because we have a wage structure to redevelop.

A couple of breakthrough sessions, one good season, one very good,he then started 20/21 really well until he got injured, and it's been terrible since. He was never as bad before that though.

He's obviously not worth 300k or anything like that, but I doubt the club would offer that in their current penny pinching mode...but who knows. Point is though its hardly baffling why a big club would see great potential in his signing.

Yup. And let’s not forget that we’re about to sign a player who’s been bad for just six months less than Rashford and is a few years older.

I was being kind.

He's been atrocious for far longer than the last two seasons.

Even at his best in 2019-20, he was still inconsistent and relying on penalties to bump up his goalscoring. The only player I can think of who has regressed as far back as Rashford in recent years is Dele Alli. That's his level.

I know he's been awful.

I know he was never world class even at his best.

But I would really feel very sad if he left.
Feels like the last bit of soul getting ripped out of the club.

Even though many people were scoffing at the time when Barca amd PSG (apparently? ) showed an interest a few years ago it wouldn't of surprised me if it was true because Rashford did look like he could kick on a level and become a great player but things have changed drastically since then. It's not just a loss of form he's suffering from but he's looking completely burnt out and anytime time now I see the PSG or Barca interest pop back up I feel he's using that interest from then as a basis for now. When I seen that Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham were all interested in him just a short time ago it became apparent its all PR bullshit.

The soul was ripped when players like him and Martial were handed 200k+ a week contract. The concept of earn your pay went out of the window.

How much is he worth now? I think you should take whatever you can for him, get someone on the right (Antony / Pino?) and play Sancho from the left. - The absolute worst thing would be to give him a new contract.
