Poor Dalot will be stuck in the middle.
I watched a few "Man Utd players arrived at the airport for away trips" videos on BeanymanSports's Youtube channel last year and Dalot was always the one driving Ronaldo around, so he might have gone through a phase of being star-struck by Ronaldo and following him around like an errand boy. Understandable considering he must have idolized Ronaldo growing up in Portugal.

Now that he's established himself in the starting 11, hopefully Ronaldo won't have much influence on him anymore.

He’s been attacked and black balled as the scapegoat of the team last season and the fans and pundits have talked nothing but shite about him. False rumors every other day all summer etc. He’s been put through the ringer when in particular last season he was far from the issue.

He’s responded too it and called out the club that has stagnated publicly which was correct. We have not heard the whole interview yet but the main and only thing upsetting fans is his lack of respect for ETH.

He would not just randomly say something like that without a reason, clearly their is some legitimate truth to this story and as stated before if it was about a lack of care/compassion for his daughter being ill especially after recent events then I don’t blame the man. He said nothing about the fans and he stated he loved the fans. I’m curious to see the full interview.

The fans will back the manager and look at things one sided but it will be interesting to see the long term view. Fans hater Mourinho blunt honesty as well and he ended up being correct about nearly everything he said.

Also when he said people at the club didn’t want him their last season either it makes perfect sense. The glazers or Woodward or someone didn’t want to feel the backlash/embarrassment of him going to City and he was brought in despite what seems to be many not actually wanting him their to begin with.

One thing I will say is Ronaldo truly made the worse late career moves I have seen. Juve he performed at a high level and he probably should have stayed their but he wanted to win the CL so he was going to City then he got sucked into old pals and Ferguson telling
Him to go to United and he let his heart make a decision over his mind. Bad decision.

The United fans will just look at him as the bad guy but an objective view would show their is a lot more to this.

Heck I’ll probably get multiple replies just for even saying an opposite view.
"An objective view" is that to give this interview and say these things are the epitome of disloyalty and unprofessionalism, and doing so can only have a destructive effect on the team. This comes on top of several other events - not least walking off from a game, twice, and refusing to come on as a substitute, that are objectively unprofessional and unacceptable behavior by any member of any team, completely regardless of any other circumstances. No team can accept this and retain any kind of credibility. There is nothing to discuss, except how the parting of ways can best take place. If you don't see that, good luck.

And what do you want anyway? You do realise that if ETH accepts ever putting Ronaldo on a team sheet again, his credibility with the squad and the football world at large would be irreparably destroyed? And what do you think would happen if Ronaldo ever walks out on the pitch at Trafford again? He would be booed off the field, and rightly so.

True, but most importantly, Mbappe is 23 years old....CR7 is way too old to be talking about ex-teammates being uglier than he is. But he's an idiot, I don't even mean it as an insult, he really isn't an intelligent person.
He's a narcissist surrounded by people enabling him for sure. The behavior at his age, is very very strange to say the least

The absolute state of the comments section under the YouTube video. All are either outright supporting him, or only mentioning what he said about the Glazers. They surely can't have watched a single minute he's played this season.

I mean, this whole meltdown is a bit funny when you have in mind that a few years back, his fans always lauded him for elevating a team due to his "leadership qualities" and him being a "role model professional". People still like to point at his "elite mindset" but to be honest, I think Ronaldo would have been a better football player if he wasn't such a narcissist. Maybe less goals in total but who cares.

Are those the comments that triggered Ronaldo? We all know he's got huge ego but it reaches ridiculous levels it seems. Man is almost 38 for God's sake. Imagine if Argentina wins WC with Messi scoring the winner. He'd probably end up in mental institution.

Privately to the manager?
Yeah twice in three years. The seslcond time because he was rightly dropped for a handful of games.

But obviously those requests would shortly become public information with a player of that profile.

I doubt they're real accounts, I saw the comments too.

You can buy comments/likes with fake accounts, you'll probably notice if you click on the profiles they have no video uploads.

I genuinely doubt that a majority of the fanbase is backing him this heavily, sentiment on twitter (in some part), reddit and other forums is very negative towards Ronaldo.

Who would've thought all those years ago that it was Rooney that would mature the most out of these two?

This is very sad to see some the comments here slating Ronaldo. People have short memories and forget everything he did for this club. He became the best player in the world while he was with us which we have never seen happen with any prem team. Without him we most likely would of never had the success we did back in 2007-2009.

He is frustrated , sure he not the player he once was, he has very high standards and he must be very disappointed to see the club ran in the state It is.

He loves United and he is exposing the glazers, the lack of investment , the lack of sporting project. We needed somebody to do this and expose the glazers for who they are.

This doesn’t look like it going end well but hopefully he does expose the people running our club and we get closer to them selling which we all want.

Whatever happens don’t let this taint your feelings towards Ronaldo.

He gave worse press, some saying he should be moved on, but you're talking about a player that gave everything for the club. He is a person who wants United to be successful.

I think quite a lot of people, Ronaldo always been a brat.

Look at his wink at the World Cup 2006 that made the media against him.

I tend to agree. All this talk of his ego and narcissism making him the player he is. Not sure about that.

I think his pace, strength, height, balance, dexterity, agility and two footedness made him the footballer he is.

Pretty clear on this longer clip that Bruno gives Ronaldo a colder shoulder than his other teammates:

This is all on Ronaldo. He didn't give a feck about his club and he did not give a feck about Portugal.

So if someone disagrees with your viewpoint that makes them an enemy of the club?

Calling people petty names just because they see things differently is immature, petty and generally pretty pathetic.

I don't think I've seen anyone defend Ronaldo over the club on here either.
You're either being willfully disingenuous or you're making a point about something you haven't actually spent the time to have a properly formed opinion about. There have been plenty of clear attempts by posters to reframe what Ronaldo did and effectively cannonise him for speaking out about serious issues at the club. It's fecking nonsense and should be called out as such in the most vocal way.

Ronaldo has just trashed ten Hag, the first manager at the club since Fergie that appears to have the minerals to create something here so people are rightfully aggravated. He's also taken bizarrely personal shots at actual club legends Neville and Rooney. He refused to be a sub last season against City and fecked off to Portugal, he left the ground early against Rayo Vallecano, he didn't bother showing up for preseason, he spent all summer trying to engineer a move, he's currently playing like rancid dog shit despite being paid a monster sum and being asked to do the bare minimum like be a professional squad member, he refused to come on against Spurs and he's now given this celeb reveal all interview with press gutter dweller Piers Morgan. He also gave that interview last season in which he called out the younger players at United for not listening him and for having attitude issues, the hypocritical cnut. If people aren't fecked off with Ronaldo there's something wrong with them.

Probably took a leaf out of Durant's book on how to operate with burner accounts.

I said back in summer that when we didn't get top 4 he was going to push to leave and if would get well, messy.

He doesn't love the club and never has, the way people welcomed him back after how he made sure he left in '09 was a joke, he made it untenable for him to stay here and fast forward 13 years, here we are again.

This guy isn't a United legend, not even a great.

I've disliked him long before he left for Madrid, he's always been unlikeable as a person.

He's always been narcissistic in his comments in general, so my feelings won't change, I expect this behaviour from him.

who is the bigger prima donna?

Ronaldo or Mbappe
Still Mbappe imo, he seemed to be even more entitled than CR7. CR7 had nearly 2 decade of praise and good news (think Putin and his yes-men), Mbappe still do not have CR7 achievements or standing in the game.

That said, the “United betrayed me” part hasthe hallmark of a typical Putinist false flag operation

Narcissists get worse with age, especially with enablers around them. They get better at their tactics too.

All of this would've been avoided if that Chelsea owner sacked Tuchel back in May and then signed Ronaldo like he wanted to. I mean, we wouldn't be happy about him playing for another PL club and a rival but this is now bigger problem.

I agree.

The greatest football I ever saw him play was with Rooney and Tevez back in 2006-2008. He was more selfless back then and everything revolves around playing beautiful attacking ball - less about who scored and more about simply finding the quickest, most exciting, most ruthless way of doing it.

What he became afterwards was no doubt impressive, and the statisticians will say he became better, but I know which player I preferred watching.

Yep.

I mean he's complaining about a few nothing comments from Rooney. Disappointed because they played together.

Cristiano, you did everything you could to get that same teammate sent off in a world cup.

I'd say that's slightly worse behaviour.

The rainbow's end
But thats precisely what Ronaldo wants and playing to his hands.
There's nothing else ETH can do or say at this point. The club has to deal with this sooner rather than later. If i was ETH and was told by the board that Ronaldo will be present in the first training session with the whole squad after the WC, i would pack my bags the night before and hand in my resignation first thing in the morning. There's no going back after these comments. If you're a serious organization, that is.

The absolute worst thing people can do is watch those 2 slime balls talk to each other in that interview. All of the quotes will be everywhere, don't give them the clicks.

Well judging by the cold shoulder Bruno gave Ronaldo he won't be starting for Portugal this world cup.

That's a good thing for us I guess.

Awkward situation for Bruno, must be difficult to handle to be honest.
It's definitely a weird handshake, he doesn't even make eye contact with Ronaldo and just does it in more formal way, unlike with other players. Awkard situation for them in Portugal NT as well now.
