One of my earliest football memories was Qatar being the worst team on first/original FIFA International Soccer...

Some things never change...

Also, the iPlayer must be about 5 minutes behind.

Equador look good. I think the South American sides as a whole are going to put up a strong showing this year.

Enner Valencia doesn't give a shit about your bribery money.

I'm not sure where the dispute is for this..

Is the argument that it didn't come off an Ecuador head and it was just the keeper who punched the ball up in the air? If so, fair enough it wouldn't be offside, it's hard to tell from the replay.

If you accept that the ball came off an Ecuador head, the next player to get a touch on the ball is an Ecuador player who's foot/leg was offside at the time of the header.

Or is the argument that because that offside didn't directly result in a goal then the goal should stand anyway, despite the offside in the build up? That would be a stretch considering there's like 4 seconds between the offside and goal being scored.
Yeah, my bad - in my defence, BBC didn't show replay for an age. I assumed the offside was given to a different player, not the one contesting the ball.

Remember the days when countries that were good at football were in the opening match ?
Still remember Argentina vs Cameroon in Italia 90. What an upset that was and what a team Cameroon turned out to be. Cracking match against England too.
