Isn't the keeper further back than the Qatar player shown in the 3d image? It's hard to tell from the camera angle and then all the others players are phased out from the graphic so you just have to assume the defender was relevant player but it doesn't look very clear, needs more camera angles.
This little interaction sums up this world cup tbh.

Qatar should just play it long and counter press Ecuador because none of their players look ready to actually carry the ball forward outside of their number 11. The one time qatar half heartedly pressed Ecuador, Ecuador looked completely confused.

The guy was being an idiot .. come on.. he wasnt sitting in the Ecuadorian section.. he was sitting among the home fans, or at least a neutral section where there will be a lot of home support.. and making a gesture (I'm not sure what it was , but probably after the disallowed goal suggesting the ref was bribed maybe? )
