Too many false dawns. Will wait for the official announcement to see what precisely is going on.

This is possibly awful news.

Means the football bubble has burst.

Glazers are vermin, they will now sell Old Trafford as a property dead.

Wouldnt need to be as rich as Newcastle. Just someone with their own huge fortune and the willingness to put our own money back into the club. The money this club makes is obscene and could rival anyone just by what we earn.
100% true IF we weren’t in the current state we are in. Training complex, stadium and playing squad as well as whole youth set up need massive upgrades. No club generates enough money to fix all those things at once and we need to fix all those things asap. If we were in a healthy place in terms of stadium and training complex, they yeah, we make huge amounts we could invest in the squad. Just my opinion, I’m no financial guru, but can’t see how we make enough to get us out of the state we are in straight away.

Didn’t mention us directly but I think it’s clear they are not looking to drop billions on a premier league team.

“Our position has developed since the summer and we are now concentrating our efforts on Nice. We’re raising our ambitions so that the club can reach the top in France and rival PSG,” said the spokesperson.

“This would represent much better value for our investment than buying one of the top-tier Premier League clubs,” they continued. INEOS, who also own Swiss side Laussane-Sport, have therefore affirmed their commitment to the Riviera club, with Les Aiglons currently 9th in the Ligue 1 table.

I don't see why anyone would want to be a minority stake holder. Maybe I'm wrong, but I only foresee a full sale of the club.

I’m slightly worried we will be sold to someone worse than we already have sadly. But I welcome the news regardless.

It’s more down to Glazer family wanting to cash out. Some of the members of the family are in financial difficulties and wanted to sell share for some time now.

If you think about it, although the Glazers may prefer only a partial sale, what smart business person would willingly GIVE the incompetent Glazers their own money? AND with no control? You’d have to be batshite crazy. And billionaires don’t become billionaires by doing batshite crazy moves with large sums of money. A full sale could be very viable.

How long would such a sale take, and would they already have told potential buyers? Is there any indication who might be most likely buyers?

There is no recession for the mega rich!
This is silly and tells me you lack basic understanding of economics.

Glazer's are leveraged with debt beyond comprehension. Any change in interest rates impacts them significantly.

Over the next two years we are going to see;
- highest inflation in ~30 years
- highest interest rate environment in a generation
- worst recession since 2008

Coupled with the need of heavy investment Glazer's had no choice but to sell.

Things would change very quickly if the sale is true.

Why, because he requires hardwork and determination from his workers? A leader not settling for mediocrity is what we need.
