Yeah, that was a pretty welcome surprise. Almost immediately set up a goal, then did a couple of minutes later. Basically useful with every action.

I've always liked him even when he played the friendlies. I'm not sure exactly what it is the coaches don't like, but that was a very pleasing cameo.

Yes I know the Charlton defenders were probably knackered at that stage, but he just has a natural glide and agility, and had good decision making.

I'd give him minutes before Elanga right now.

What a cameo
He has taken his chance tonight and can’t wait to see more of him
He actually improved us when he came on

What has he done to be behind Elanga in the pecking order? Clearly it's not on footballing abilities? His work rate seems fine from the cameos I've seen of him. It's pretty bizarre he's behind Elanga who offers nothing.

Not sure why Ten Hag hasn't used him. Should be getting far more chances than he has.

We've been hiding this guy from daylight? Looked like a proper winger here. He's a right footed right winger, the only player who operates this way in our squad. Interesting.

More than the assist, what I liked most about Pellistri's performance was his decision making and directness. Always seemed to shape well to receive the ball and to pick a good option in the final third. I can only think he has been trash in training, given how little we have got from the right flank from other players. Much like Garnacho on the left flank, Pellistri deserves more of a chance.

Interesting with him is that he knows what to do. Makes the right passes, runs and dribbles.

He looked really good. Lively, quick, got an assist. Hope we get to see more of him before he just leaves this club to get playing time elsewhere.

Reminds me of a throwback type player running with the ball, hope he gets more playing time.
Yeah, him and Garnacho both love to take people on and stretch play.

Wouldn't mind seeing the highlights from his brief cameo. My MOTM (sorry Casemiro).

Looked good in his cameo but Charlton looked pretty knackered by that stage. Definitely worth giving him more minutes to see what he can do against stronger opponents.

Outside of the goal, Pellestri offered more than Antony. Doesn't take much, granted.

Looked lively and composed. Promising cameo. Maybe we should figure out a good loan for Elanga and keep Pellistri as back up for now. The coaches might be thinking Elanga offers an option through the middle as well, but to be honest he hasn't shown anything there this season.

I never counted on him really as I've always rated Amad higher but damn, that was a fantastic cameo. He certainly has to get some serious minutes throughout the rest of the season if he can keep this up.

He always looks decent but barely gets any time. It's really odd, he must be shit in training. I hope we see more of him as a sub

Impressed.
I knew he had that ‘ball glued to feet’ running style but I’d only ever seen it at youth level. Elanga shouldn’t be near the squad going forward based on that cameo.

Looks like he did during the World Cup. Very composed . This signing might prove me wrong and I’m loving it.

Not a real test all things considered but he cameo was great!

Rashford/Antony are first choice but Garnacho/Pellistri should be used as backup to those two a lot in the coming months.

Yes, very direct and decisions are spot on. Deserve to be ahead of Elanga now.

That was an excellent cameo. There rumors he had enough and wanted to leave in the summer, but he really looks like a real talent that might turn into something special with proper coaching. Most loans didn't work for our players last season so we shouldn't give up on him yet.

Very positive apparence by Pellistri. Had somewhat the same effect as Garnacho has had in the past. Should definately be infront of Elanga in the pecking order. He probably did more in 5 minutes than Elanga had done the whole season. Must have done something ETH didn't like in training.

Elanga never does anything useful. He has pace and workrate, but his technique is so horrible that he always loses the ball. Should sell him at the first opportunity and give Pellistri his minutes.
