I get that, but we're entering into new territory if we need a stadium - and we're now competing with three clubs spending crazy money.
Agreed. Significant stadium and training facility upgrades are absolutely essential at this point and I definitely want an owner who has the monetary power to come in and get those projects done without it being a financial albatross around the club's neck and interfering with United's transfer business.

Not really appealing.
Interesting. They financed Barcelona's first "economic lever" and as a result, now own 25% of Barca's domestic TV income for the next 25 years.

One would hope that the Glazers' strategic review does not end with them simply pulling an "economic lever" and flogging off a small % of the club or some slice of our future broadcasting rights.

Most likely, they sell to the highest bidder and not the best new owner. Would not surprise me

A cold shudder just went down my spine when reading about this. Partial sale's always been hovering in the background and has never gone away. That's what's going to happen, isn't it. :(

Christ that’s probably the worst option so far, encouraging there is more interest emerging. But that’s essentially more debt on the club.

Well minority stake sale is too depressing to contemplate after dangling the carrot of being rid of the leeches, it really would be a nail in the coffin whilst we see other clubs supported by good owners and flourishing.... as much as I dislike city, their owners have done marvellous things, it is only bitterness and jealously that makes me dislike them for their ownership model

There will be plenty of US hedge funds interested. Which is the worst case scenario imo

You might not noticed but the leeches hasn't taken any dividends this year. They can barely make ends meet with full ownership let alone paying someone a minority stake.

God that’s sickening

Would be devastating to see that happen.

Watch us get that whilst Liverpool end up rolling in money with a multi billionaire owner

Unfortunately we won't get another story probably until later this week so will be panic stations on fan channels and in media until then

Typical CAF doom and gloom whilst sucking off and praising one of our rivals.

When in reality……

Hedge fund types like that can simply not be allowed to be considered when there are genuine offers like Ratcliffe/Ineos. Government should step in over such a thing and this time protect a major national institution! Full sale with genuine plans to clear debt and pay for infrastrucure or feck off.

That’s got to be the worst possible outcome surely?

Glazers stay and not only that, we’ll have even more leeches who take money out and won’t care if we’re unsuccessful

Protests need to step up
Fully agree.

Just reading this as a possibility makes me think about ME ownership and how much better it would be.

It's not so much the sugar daddy aspect of it but the fact we won't have to worry about shit like this and can actually focus on watching our football team.

Sixth Street are vultures. There interest does not make much sense, if Glazer ownership remains I would expect Man Utd as a return on investment to not be a very good one. Surely they can see that? Anyway, hopefully they go for Liverpool instead.
