What does that have to do with anything? His bot investing heavily at Nice so why would that be much different hereYeah, that tight arse with his multi-billion quid bid. Bet he doesn't even buy his round down the pub, the fecking miser

Looking at their squad I'd say he's spent some money thoughThing is if he was half committed to winning he could easily have made Nice the second/third biggest club in France.
So like the glazer’s he makes bad delegation choices? I think people need to accept his sporting CV speaks for itself.Maybe it depends who had helping to run the club with him.
Not a lot compared to other "sugar daddies". And on shit mostlyLooking at their squad I'd say he's spent some money though
Not sure I like anybody who thought signing Aaron Ramsey was a good idea.So like the glazer’s he makes bad delegation choices? I think people need to accept his sporting CV speaks for itself.
So he delegates as shiite as the Glazers thenNot a lot compared to other "sugar daddies". And on shit mostly
Good points, but what is so annoying is that as long as any of the siblings keeps their shares -- they have full control of the clubs. Their Series B shares have 10 votes per share while the others have 1. And some decisions require the support of any B share to pass. If any sibling sell their share to someone who isn't a straight line relative from Malcom, the B shares are automatically transformed to A shares (low voting shares). One thing I think people are overlooking is that the Glazers are not one single entity now.
After Malcolm passed away I think they owned 97% of the shares that were split equally between the 6 siblings.
It has been reported that Joel and Avram are- were opposed to selling, and I believe two of the brothers have already sold SOME of their shares.
Joel and Avram were reported to be looking at buying out the other siblings but couldn't it seems raise the funds.
Darcie has been reported to have borrowed heavily with the shares in United as collateral, so with rising interest rates wants to sell her 18%.
Bryan, Kevin, Edward I have heard nothing about.
So, if the new "buyer" bought out the 4 siblings, it not Avram or Joel, they would have circa 66% owners, with the other two having little say.
Why would the new owners accept this or anything but a full takeover?
The savings in initial purchase would be £1.5 billion (roughly), money that could then be it into a new stadium which with naming rights would be paid for and a revamp of Carrington.
Why would the two brothers agree to it?
If they feel that the overall value is likely to increase, either with a new ground bringing in a LOT of extra match day revenue, the ESL being brought back to discussion and coming into place, or clubs being allowed to negotiate their own broadcasting deals, they might think that in ten years time, the price per share could double.
Just another possible option that I think should be considered in discussions.
All we’ve got so far is a statement of interest. Nobody in their right mind is going to enter a blind auction without the chance of conducting some due diligence. The process, so far, has not been made transparent. With the Chelsea sale the contenders were at least given a prospectus of the business and the books.I imagine if INEOS are declaring their interest this past week then we’re not far away from the auction starting so to speak. We should know the new owner come April at the latest judging by past stories.
It’ll be interesting and maybe exciting to see who is going to be throwing their hats into the ring in the next few weeks.
Jesus fecking ChristIf Sir Jim is going to do what he is doing to Nice, then we are going to see even darker days than the Glazers days.

Beyond playing the same sport, there is next to no comparison between OGC Nice and Manchester United. What does that have to do with anything? His bot investing heavily at Nice so why would that be much different here
Doubt Sir Jim gets us - but if he does his whole reputation will ride on sorting out the mess here. He can’t afford to screw up here. He’s either deadly serious, and prepared to spend megabucks, or it’s a PR job.If Sir Jim is going to do what he is doing to Nice, then we are going to see even darker days than the Glazers days.
I don’t think this point is made clear enough. United will be the largest sports institution in the world that will ever be up for saleNothing major, but Off the pitch are quoting to a M&A advisor well versed in the football world:

Also makes me wonder why some people rule out the middle east interestI don’t think this point is made clear enough. United will be the largest sports institution in the world that will ever be up for sale
Because it'll bring just as big exposure to any negatives that the owners do. It's a massive risk. Also makes me wonder why some people rule out the middle east interest
They very well may not get far into the process, but if they have a political agenda and want to use a club for sports washing.. you aren’t going to get a bigger opportunity than United. The club makes heroes
Give me him over yankee vultures thoughHis Nice team is a tragedy
Do United need a “sugar daddy”? If the debt is paid off and whoever takes over manages to get it running well, United will have loads to spend regardless. Not a lot compared to other "sugar daddies". And on shit mostly
Yeah with how much we need I do think soDo United need a “sugar daddy”? If the debt is paid off and whoever takes over manages to get it running well, United will have loads to spend regardless.
You'd say Lfc are one of the best run non "sugar daddy" teams, and yet they still need a sugar daddy.Do United need a “sugar daddy”? If the debt is paid off and whoever takes over manages to get it running well, United will have loads to spend regardless.
Oh absolutely. But it's not my dream scenarioGive me him over yankee vultures though
Me neither I want middle east ownersOh absolutely. But it's not my dream scenario
Same. I'm hoping for some sweet oil money. Or Dubai. Please, let it happen. Not more American parasites.Me neither I want middle east owners
We are not that big in revenues anymore. We fell behind Liverpool and "city".Do United need a “sugar daddy”? If the debt is paid off and whoever takes over manages to get it running well, United will have loads to spend regardless.
City is a lie and we still have higher revenue than Liverpool. That’s despite both clubs basically maxing out their income with how far they got in tournaments. We are not that big in revenues anymore. We fell behind Liverpool and "city".
Yep. I don't genuinely get people worrying. Our new owners will be filthy rich. It's as if people don't realise the scale of this opportunity of owning us.I think they get top dollar in the end. £6b-£7b, maybe more. It’s going to be a huge bid.
We need a new stadium, training ground and quality players. Good luck financing that all with our current revenues alone.Do United need a “sugar daddy”? If the debt is paid off and whoever takes over manages to get it running well, United will have loads to spend regardless.
We don’t need a new stadium, we probably don’t need a new training ground (I’ve never been so I’ve no idea, just as I’m betting you don’t) so that makes everything a lot easierWe need a new stadium, training ground and quality players. Good luck financing that all with our current revenues alone.
We do (at least a huge refurbishment) and we do. Why do you think every report highlights these two areas as points of concern for potential owners? We don’t need a new stadium, we probably don’t need a new training ground (I’ve never been so I’ve no idea, just as I’m betting you don’t) so that makes everything a lot easier
Well every report around points out that our training facilities are not up to standard anymore. And the stadium is in a tragic state. We don’t need a new stadium, we probably don’t need a new training ground (I’ve never been so I’ve no idea, just as I’m betting you don’t) so that makes everything a lot easier
So what exactly is wrong with Carrington that it needs tearing down and rebuilding? We do (at least a huge refurbishment) and we do. Why do you think every report highlights these two areas as points of concern for potential owners?
The stadium is far from tragic. I can only assume you’ve not been to many others if you think it is.Well every report around points out that our training facilities are not up to standard anymore. And the stadium is in a tragic state.
Stadium expansion: £800MWe need a new stadium, training ground and quality players. Good luck financing that all with our current revenues alone.
Ronaldo has pretty much said Carrington is exactly the same as when he left it in 2009. 13+ years without any sort of improvement or modernisation for a club like United is criminal. Read up about what he said about the swimming pool as a prime example. So what exactly is wrong with Carrington that it needs tearing down and rebuilding?
What exactly means Old Trafford needs demolishing?
