He sounds like an indigestion tablet. Hopefully he can temporarily ease our dodgy midsection…

Am I doing it right?

This is a really shrewd bit of business. Kudos to the club for sorting this (assuming it all goes through).

Another former captain who have competed and led teams at the highest level. If he signs on loan, another strong signing that is fit for the role and squad, rather than trending player.

Will definitely give us more presence than Eriksen which will be needed in the tougher games.

We asked about the guy Aouar from lyon, tielemans and Saul was also talked about apparently. Glad we went for sabitzer out of them options.

It’s a decent loan in circumstances, he hasn’t been playing a lot so it’s big ask for him to come in and rediscover his form from Leipzig.

If he does manage to do that then he is an improvement over Mctominay and will play quite a bit. It’s shame we haven’t gone for Kamada as well as that would really have helped given the volume of games we have to come.

We def need to play Mctominay or he'll be off to newcastle in the summer

Good deal considering the circumstances, hopefully he will settle in quickly.

What sort of bollocks negative spin is this
We're taking a player off bayern.

Excuse me for being wary

Nobody brought up the fact that he basically has been used a substitute for almost his entire time at bayern. Rarely gets a start. Not saying thats an easy thing to do breaking into a goretzka/kimmich or whoever midfield, but he was clearly signed as a rotation/backup player.

If he fits in and does well he will of course want to stay…with Laimer going to Bayern next season we should be able to get him for a decent fee with or without a buy option.
If he does well I'm sure there would be a deal to be done. Bayern may find it awkward and high risk to call him back if he becomes well settled in Manchester and really wants to stay.
It's basically this, though the absence of an option will mean you'll have to compete for his signature. But yes, him being somewhat settled and comfortable will obviously help his decision. There's no doubt we'll be ready to sell him though and we usually don't ask much for players that are surplus to requirement.
It sounds a bit like you didn't find yourself in a position right now to make any kind of meaningful transfer offer, what with the financial uncertainty of a looming sale, not in this short amount of time left in the window anyway.

I guess he’s made a lot of sub appearances but he’s been involved in 15/18 league games for Bayern. In a team who have Goretzka and Kimmich that doesn’t seem too bad. Also played 40 games last season.

Sky Sports Germany are currently showing footage of him checking through passport control at Munich Airport. They believe he should be due to arrive in Manchester at around 20:00hrs however, Chelsea were also rumoured to be in the running, had the Fernández transfer fallen through, but that looks very much a done deal now.

Better than relying on our own version for DVB who can't even use his knee for the next few months.
Well yes you can't complain about getting an extra body with such experience at this late stage.

That we're definitely grateful for. And on the short term loan too.

Damn that Murtough, forcing cheap ole targets on Erik
People need to relax. Not everything said is negative.

Maybe we shout out or scouting network for identifying a player without the need of Ralf Rangnick as our Director.
