I think another round of bids would be happening now if that was the case. I think it’s more likely that one party has been picked to negotiate exclusively with Raine and that they are trying to squeeze the price up a little more. Or a price has been agreed and they are working to complete the deal.

Like I said another incoming round of bids

I don’t know what has to be announced publicly though as some shares are traded on the stock market.

What do you mean? The emir can't afford it?

You know something we don't?
The truth is they have extremely competent accountants and bankers and they have advises Qatar the club is worth £4bn plus the £1bn debt but they might have to pay £5.5bn as a premium to secure the keys to the club, knowing the Glaziers might still then say we are only selling for £6bn.

The game of Bluff reaches its final stages because, SJR and SJ can both pull out any time they want! Nothing is ever easy with being a United fan, but right now if it takes to September 1st 2023 and we only sign one player for next season but it means the parasites have finally left the club, I’d take that over them staying and getting minority investors any day of the week.

In the context of this thread it isn't useful at all to be honest mate.
I know and I apologise for that but I was kind of pissed off about it and I vented it in here. You're on the lookout of some decent information only to end up being click baited by some random guy who he is in love with himself and think that everyone gives a feck about his life

It's only two weeks away...
It's almost 3 weeks away and we've already been in this 'phase' for a while

The season ends in may and they're still taking bids at the end of April? no chance its getting done is it

I think the point @Castia might be making is that the deadline for bids (according to that tweet) is the end of April. That doesn't even account for the time Raine and the Glazers will take over mulling them over, which from the last two rounds has been about half a month. That'll take us to the end of the season. Then presumably they'd do a period of exclusivity, which would take however long. Then further negotiations. Then all the paperwork etc.

So it's not just "two weeks away" - the poster is probably correct by saying it won't be done by the Summer

Just a gut feeling based on the information fed to us from the beginning, and with other options available. I feel if it's a normal bidding process where all parties increase their offers conservatively without overpaying too much, then the Glazers may not necessarily choose the highest bid, especially if it's not near their target price. And that they never wanted a full sale from the start, unless there's a discussion ending offer.

Long term future security of the club is far more important than a few jazzy signings in the summer. We need this done right, not ‘right now’. Patient and resolve is key. The Glazers are going!

Whatever happens you can guarantee the Glazers will go for top dollar.

They are absolutely disgusting parasites and I cannot wait for the day that I never have to hear about them or see their rat faces ever again. However that day comes

Money grubbing and scrounging up every penny they can after putting the club in nearly a billion of debt and taking a billion out, they are absolutely vile and have zero shame

If it wasn't to the detriment of the club I would wish all the bidders drop out just to show these cretins that they won't bow down to them on their ridiculous over valuation of the club that they've left go to almost financial ruin

Hard not to see the faces of the bid, SJR and Sheikh Jassim getting mightily pee'd off before long and I wouldn't blame them

Pure greed by the Glazers but it is not a surprise whatsoever, maybe the 2 bidders should just decide to walk away.

One thing is for sure, the glazers are by far the worst owners this club has had in its entire history, and we should hope for the sake of the club that the next owners
whoever that might be actually care for and actually respect the club, unlike the current incumbents.

Delaying is only real tactic they have now to try and squeeze more money. I still don’t believe they have more than 2 offers for a full sale and any other bidders will be for partial investment.

If they were as eager to stay as they try to make people believe I assume they would have taken one of the partial offers by now so hoping fact they haven’t is another indication full sale is likely outcome.

I think we have just reached the stage where the Glazers need to accept they will have to lower their asking price, they can have as many rounds as they’ve want but there isn’t going to be a bidding war.

Don't watch his videos then mate.

Out of interest was it a video where people were asking him questions about his car being stolen or was he just waffling away on his own?

If it was Stretford paddock then a lot of their videos drift off topic regularly, it's just their style I suppose.

That + media leaks like for example "jassim better hurry up as the EPL is closing the door at state ownerships"

Nah it was on his personal channel. I don't understand that style at all. Even the unitedpeopletv guy had adopted it. People care about the info. They Don't give a feck about them really

I can only assume most of their viewers do like it though if they keep getting viewers.

I haven't watched them too often recently mostly just after games.

Well people were literally asking him for the news. At least he didn't sent them to feck off this time round.

Howson has its strengths. His tactical analysis is quite good and is way better then all rival channels. However he just love to talk about himself as if anyone cares

Oh i do agree 100%

Would have been nice to be closer to a done deal though, how many rounds are we going to go through?

Well that's true but still not that useful.
Aye, I kind of stopped reading this thread, it's the same shite over and over again.

Nothing has happened in 2 weeks.

Nothing is likely to happen for another 2 weeks.

Why the hell is this taking so long? It’s getting ridiculous now. I went into Sainsbury’s yesterday and bought a block of butter and I was out within a few minutes. This is taking months.

Good man yourself. I’d expect third to be the final round before exclusivity.
Hopefully between them Arnie, Murtough and ETH have got a plan to execute a successful summer regardless of who is picking up the tab!
