Grealish was a LW at Villa. Bernardo can do both but he's played as a RW for Portugal.

Of course no one is denying that Pep is a top attacking manager too. Just for instance of Pool had the same resources as City to build the same depth City had then I feel Pool would have more than just the solitary PL to show for the era just gone by. They played Mane Salah and Firmino pretty much every game in the league and CL, whereas Pep rarely ever plays the same attackers midweek and on the weekend.

England - don't get me started on Southgate haha.
I don't completely disagree here, I just don't subscribe to the idea if you give x or y this amount of resources they could do this or that. Ancelotti has spent many years at the top with clubs with big resources and talents, yet one of his biggest criticism is not rotating the team. Even Klopp has Gakpo, Jota, Salah, Nunez and Firmino avail, yet its Salah who's carrying the attack and the others aren't doing well.

City are annoyingly close to doing the treble. If they reach the cl final it's theirs to win. Anyone wanting them to win the title over Arsenal needs their head checked.
The scary thing is, it's not being talked up either...

If City are a level above them, then why are they trailing them by a few points after 30 matches played?

I do think Arsenal are overperforming, but both teams are among the 5 best teams in the world currently. City being a level above Arsenal is just nonsense. They are close to each other in terms of quality.
you saw what city did to Arsenal in Emirates, with Bernado as a left back?? Imagine Sancho is a leftback in Emirates, marking Saka :D

Can you think they are in the same level.

Have you seen what they have done to Bayern?

Only Klopp was near City level few years back, that's why even games between them we fairly even and hotly contested.

Now is, Arsenal have perfected the art of winning 99% of home games, beat all bottom 10 teams away then fighting tooth and nail in the top 10 away games.

City will beat Arsenal in Emirates. That will be home and away.
United beat Arsenal away. Arsenal at home needed a last minute winner.
Liverpool blew Arsenal away in Anfield. Arsenal in Emirates had a dubious penalty+offside goal against Liverpool to win.
Arsenal in Spurs, their keeper kept them in the game second half like in Anfield.

No single game this season have City been blown away. They are still in 3 different competitions remember. City already has beaten Arsenal twice, 3rd game is coming in Etihad.

Your main challenger can not beat you home and away( it will happen) and you still proclaim you're on the same level.

Arsenal are extremely consistent, that matters alot but they are a level below City.

City have a 45 goal scorer, KDB+Rodri in midfield, and Pep to boot. Competing with such a opponent requires utmost consistency which might not be enough at the end of the season sometimes. Sadly.

We need Arsenal to win the league to stop City.

Someone in UCL to eliminate them.

Then we do them in FA Cup.

They end trophyless. But it's a uphill task.

The only game where Arsenal was bad, all PL season, was away at Everton. For the rest we were always competitive.

Arsenal beat Leicester home and away in 15/16. We weren’t better than them over the course of the season, hence they became Champions (and legends) whereas we were mere runner-ups.

If we finish with more points than City over 38 games they couldn’t possibly have been levels above us across the season.

All hypothetical, of course. They might trounce us at the Etihad, sparking a total collapse and finish 10 points ahead of us. And if they did, you’d have to hold your hands up and say the best team won.

But surely the whole point of a league system is precisely that - the best team winning. So if Arsenal win, how can they be levels below the runner-up?

If United were challenging for the league I would have an opinion. But when they are 12-18 points behind the leaders then I couldn’t care less who wins the league.

Sort your own club out first.

Bar a shocking comeback from Bayern, their schedule until Arsenal is very manageable to get desired result with room for rotation.

Arsenal needs that draw at Etihad, and breaks that all defeat against Pep at Etihad record.

Only the officials can save Arsenal now. And if they’re anything like they were for Spurs against Brighton, this is going to the final day.

If Arsenal bottle a 2-0 win again against a terrible West Ham after no midweek game then it will be really bad. Such teams usually don’t win the title.

There were actually people out there who thought Arsenal would win the league. These people walk amongst us. Scary.

Real Madrid, Napoli (?) in the champions league and possibly ourselves and Brighton in the FA cup are the only ones that can stop City's Treble now.

But of course it doesn't mean anything because oil money or something

Also feck you Arsenal you bottling c***s. You have no other distractions and you should be treating every game as a cup final.

I think Arsenal won’t even finish Top 4 next season, such will be their collapse after throwing away this unbelievable opportunity to win a title. They’ll revert to their mean - and more, IMO - and will struggle to finish ahead of City, United, Tottenham, Chelsea et al in 2023/24.

Only game I can see city drop points in would be Brighton away.
Arsenal got Newcastle away, Brighton at home where they could drop points in.

Decider the city-Arsenal game.

The funny part is that West Ham are coming straight from an away European game.

It's Man City title to lose now. Arsenal throwing two 2:0 leads away isn't good enough to win the EPL.
They are the Dortmund of the Premier League

City will win it with a game or 2 to spare... Arsenal after next week vs Southampton play City, Chelsea, Newcastle and Brighton. Horrible run after what will be a demoralizing loss to city probably.

Nothing changes for Arsenal after this draw compared to last week. They still have enough with a draw vs city

Only playing one game a week
Momentum matters, either you have it or you lose it. And Arsenal have lost it at the worst possible time.

When you are going for multiple cups (like City this season, Liverpool last, even Arsenal when they won doubles and United under Fergie), playing 2-3 games a week can be mentally exhausting but players know what they need to do.

Much as I'm loving the Arsenal meltdown I wouldn't say they've bottled it, we all knew City would reel them in and it was a matter of time. It must be dispiriting for the rest of the league.
