Damn right.

I could show you videos of McTominay running through midfields like prime Yaya Touré. Watch the actual game.

It's like when people told me I was wrong when I said Antony couldn't dribble well before joining and tried countering my opinion with highlight videos. They never tell the full story. You have to watch football games.

Anyone who thinks Casemiro is good at shielding the ball under pressure actually needs to watch him. Any time we go up against a team that will press us and is as good or better on the ball than us, he is our weakest link. Proper Anne Robinson.

Snatch Bayerns hands off whilst he still has some value left, and bring in some quality midfielders who can keep their composure regardless of the quality we face.

Put some respect on Casemiro’s name.

If they are seriously interested in him, it should be at least considered.

Getting his book value in the summer would help us getting a young defensive midfielder.

I would be tempted to sell him too.

Not that I don't think he's great, though he's been declining a bit lately.

I just prefer a different profile of a midfielder that's often our deepest.

You must be in a wind up? Or do some peoples opinions on here change like the weather?

Did you even read what I said?

What exactly was wrong with what I said? I prefer a different profile of a midfielder to him if he's going to be our deepest midfielder during build-up phases.

And you have no idea what my opinions of Casemiro were before he signed for us or throughout his time here.

People are capable of proactive thinking. A smart club with a plan would absolutely sell. Providing we have the tools available to replace him that is, which right now is looking questionable.

Well you’re entirely clueless to suggest we should consider selling him. Complete idiocy after what we’ve seen from him this season.

Criticize the post, not the poster.

And it's not idiocy. If he's going to be the deepest midfielder during our build-up phases, you're somewhat inhibiting him and stunting the ceiling of our team.

But I will stick you on ignore either way, because you're incapable of conversing in an adult-like manner and just hurl out insults. Good day.

It’s not football manager 2023, you don’t have to sell everyone over 30 and replace with an up and coming equivalent.

Casemiro will play at the top level until he’s 35 at least. Never been injured and many of top midfielders are doing the same.

Should City sell KDB whilst he still has some value?

Love Casemiro but I have to agree with you here. Every player has a price.

It's truly a miracle that Madrid managed to win 5 champions leagues and 3 la Liga titles with such a limited player for that deep position...

Ceiling well and truly stunted.

Hahaha reading the comments on here one would think Casemiro is a Skybet league 1 player.

He is arguably the best defensive mid we have but everyone around him is just atrociously poor, apart from a couple.

Yes he is aging but he is the spine of the team at the moment. You don’t just switch it out in a developing team like ours - he is a leader on the pitch too with a winning mentality that puts most our players to shame.

Nothing is more tragic than your posts in this very thread, but sure.
In no world does selling Casemiro this summer make any sense. He’s been colossal for us and probably the last player we should consider moving on besides rashford, Bruno, Martinez - it’s a non-discussion point.

And you said you were going to ignore me so have put you on ignore. Cheers.

This place is embarrassing after a loss, how many years did we wait for a player like Casemiro in midfield?! He's been one of our best players this season and a massive part of the improvement from last year and now people want him sold

Literally no one has said that.

Him aging leads to more credence why we shouldn't just ignore if a good offer came through.

He's not even finished the season and you would consider an offer on our best defensive mid? NAH! He's been brilliant up until his suspension which has knocked his rhythm. He will be back to his best come next season when he gets a rest and a preseason under his belt. On top of that hopefully some competent squad depth that can help him out in doing the dirty work.

You have absolutely no way of knowing if that’s true. For every Kroos & Modric is a Schweinstiger & Rooney. And a player like Casimero, who’s game relies heavily on athleticism and physicality does not strike me as the kind of player that’s going to age well.

I never said he was limited.

And you actually made the point for me ironically. He wasn't the deepest midfielder for Real during build-up phases.

If we keep him, push him further up and have someone else drop deeper.

Certainly an option, but not the biggest fan of him and Casemiro as a midfield duo.

Someone of De Jong's profile is still the best fit imo.
I meant rotate those two and still have a playmaker CM in the mould of De Jong

Incredible.
I will say it again,

A number of his performances in the last few months suggest that his legs are going and that he doesn't have long left at the very top level.

When was the last time he actually played really well?

It's a phrase used to describe players when they are unable to keep up with other players on the pitch anymore.

When was the last time he actually played really well? he's had more bad games than good in the second half of the season. If Fred or Mctominay had played like he did last night they would be getting lamented.

I'd sell and get a younger player. No point an ageing midfielder if we arent ready to challenge. Same reason I dont want Kane. With Real building for the future with Tchouameni Bellingham and Camavinga we should follow suit
