You would think the major sponsors need to step in at some point. This doesn’t reflect well on the club at all, and any reputational damage is also a risk for the sponsors.

This is quite possibly one of the most absurd takes I've seen regarding the sale.

This does absolute nothing to the reputation.

The only thing getting hurt here is fans feelings.

So, if a board meeting did take place, there seems to have been no discussion on the minority interest options - at least not reported. Wonder if this is the clearest sign they really want to sell, but not until they receive an acceptable offer.

I think MI6 will be looking at intervening at this point. It's causing untold harm to the image of this country.

The problem for Qatar is that the Glazers have no rush to sell at all. If Qatar really wants to buy United I really think they need to upper their offer asap. Otherwise they won't be able to compete in this summer transfer window. Hopefully they can put in an other couple of 100M to complete the deal.

Doesn’t affect the sponsors at all - all they are interested in is Utd winning and qualifying for CL. Job done.

Based on these latest reports coupled with how the whole process has been,it is very clear that, the Glazers seem to be using SJR to extract more from the Sheikh.

I see the Glazers preferring full takeover instead of partial/minority stake.

Neville races onto the pitch and begins hitting Avram in the face and stamping his foot on the floor at the exact same that his slaps land, but Avram tags Joel in and the two of them double clothes line Neville, leave him dazed on the floor. Avram struts around Neville, running his hands through his weird ‘ponytail’ and holding his hand to his ear gesturing to the crowd as they boo loudly…

Suddenly, the Undertaker theme kicks in and the lights go down…

Sheik Jassim slowly walks up the tunnel with his head down and his kaffiyeh hanging down over his face.

Avram and Joel begin to panic, pointing at the emerging Sheik and covering their mouths with shock…

(someone else please carry this on)
Then a fan jumps the barrier and shoots them all dead. It was hosted in America after all

To be fair the players don't need this distraction the week of the cup final, I'm not expecting any updates until after the final.

Interesting point, that’s a very valid assumption.

They prefer to sell the club to whoever gives them the best deal. That's all they care about.
To be fair the best deal seems to be having two Glazers get feck all when we don’t know if that’s what they actually want.

What’s a delay in selling got to do with fan protests?
I was responding to a post asking if sponsors would step in. They’ve already shown to be sensitive to fans anger and becoming a toxic brand.
Sponsors do care beyond just wanting us to win

But you replied to my post which said the delay doesn’t affect the sponsors. Just like us fans, the sponsors have no control over the sales process.

They will have a clause written into any such deal that makes it compulsory for Jim to buy them out fully eventually if that's the route they go down.
