Just seen a post on FB group that says all six Glazers are meant to be meeting tomorrow and four want to go with full sale to Jassim. Can obviously guess who the other two want.
Do the six Glazers all have equal shares, and therefore equal say in what happens?

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
You must see though you are doing exactly what you accuse SJ supporters of? Putting your own positive spin on everything to fit your desired outcome.
I'm just trusting some of what is reported on the basis that hopefully some of these journalists do get some inside info. They've said SJR has held positive talks, nothing saying he's being used to try to get more from SJ.

Remember, the glazers are all trust fund babies. They haven't the brains that their father had. It shows how utterly incompetent they are.
To be fair, just because you are born into money doesn't make you dumb/not as smart. If anything they tend to have a much better education and grow up in the 'right circles'

These clowns have shown how incompetent they are ever since they stopped sucking on daddy Malc's big hairy saggy titty when he croaked it.

They make a circus out of everything.
I'm having a pretty crappy day at work but you've put a smile on my face with that one :)

Can’t see that being the case as they were not the same when they were purchased, class b have 10 times the voting power, there is one price to take control and another to take the club off the NYSE current price today was $19.36 as soon as anything happens, eg SJ wins then the shares will go up immediately, if SJR the shares might actually go down.

There is a rule under cayman law that if a new owner wants to delist, he must offer fair value quote to remaining share holders , I wouldn’t want to be getting into a long protracted court case about share value with a Qatari sheikh when I’m probably being offered twice what I originally paid.
Class B shares become class A shares when sold to anyone outside the Glazer family. Meaning they no longer have 10 times the voting power when acquired by SJR or SJ

Tell me one thing they have done right under their ownership. They have failed upwards, and that's down to their dad being savvy enough buying the club. All of them are morons.

Why is everyone so sure Qatar have won? All I'm seeing on Twitter are fake Romano profiles with the 'here we go' nonsense.
There are no reports. Just randoms on Twitter going crazy.
Shares are going up now $19.36 and rising which is interesting

Totally agree this is 50/50 so sone might be setting themselves for future misery !

Nothing new really, its what we all expected if true.
It isn’t what is expected at all, and likely not true. If we are not taken over until Autumn, we will still sign players this summer. Just as we have done every other summer in which we haven’t been taken over.

Not strictly true. There is a mechanism for them to be transferred with their voting rights. Something around selling to an “affiliate”. I think essentially a private sale of them is possible, what they are protected against I’m not sure, maybe it’s a way of avoiding other siblings losing voting control if one sibling is forced to sell.

That's down to being in the Premier league. Nothing to do with these leeches
Right, but from their point of view, they’ve done the right thing in waiting until now to consider selling, whilst in the meantime they’ve taken consistent dividends out and not had to put anything in.

I see JP Morgan is in the news for some vile stuff. That's the company Brexit Jim and Ineos are gonna get the loan from. Same place Glazers got in bed with to put us in debt

Here is that tweet thread, meant to post it earlier.
The due diligence phase that was reported to happen once second bids were in? The due diligence that INEOS have been going through with United representatives according to Whitwell.

Yeah I wouldn't worry about that due diligence.

but those signings were under the Glazers and the crippling debt right?
Gone were the big signings of Rio, Rooney, Veron, Ruud etc. Sir Alex performed miracles but we don’t have Sir Alex so we need to cut our cloth accordingly.
The biggest indictment of the Glazers is that nearly all of the Sir Alex nearly / attempted to sign superstar came before their takeover. Zidane, Batistuta, Shearer (numerous times) Blanc (numerous times) Ronaldinho, Gazza etc. it’s not as if Sir Alex didn’t try, we just couldn’t get it done so it wasn’t a case of relying on great scouting and not spending big money as a policy. It turned into a necessity.
The frustrating aspect was the Glazers opening the purse strings as soon as he retired.
My point is that you can shop outside the global stars market and still be a success. The Glazers/Woodward's obsession with signing those players have cost us in more ways than one.

Pre 2005, Fergie tried and failed to sign the players you mentioned but things didn't exactly turn out badly did they? Yes, he was a genius but it proved to be the best method to sustained success.

On a wider point, in recent times there has been a strange development where transfers/deadline day etc have seemingly become more important than football. People talking "winning" the transfer window. What does that even mean? I heard a Newcastle fan claim that finishing in the top 4 is more important than winning the FA/League Cup because it attracts better signings. How on earth has this sport reached a point where acquiring new players is seen as being more important than actually winning something. Especially for a team that has been starved of success for so long.

Hasn’t the value of the club, and therefore their investments, soared since Malcom died?
also theyve played a blinder in that the current offers on the table are significantly (to the the tune of hundreds of millions) higher than they were a few months ago.

I can see EtH walking away if the takeover keeps dragging out and player signing becomes conditional to the sale completing.. setting up for failure if we can't move on purchases by July

First time poster long time reader.
Something that hasn’t been mentioned.
Should the Glazers sell to SJR they’ll lose over 100m on Class A shares.
A pervious poster claimed Glazers own 193m worth of class A shares selling at 28 dollars a share. Should they sell to SJR those shares will tank and probably only be worth 13/14 dollars a share. Makes no sense to sell to Jim if both offers are similar even if the two boys want to stay.

Transfer ban was obvious thing. Even one transfer (lets say Mount) is investment worth over 100 mil in a long term. Not to mention other transfers (striker, full back, defender) which could end with over 300 mil investment for new owners. Despite the fact that they would agree over those targets.
Glazers on the other hand, don't want invest and basically throw money away (if they are serious to sell club now).

Yep, we are losing time here. If this will not be over soon, clubs will demand silly money from new owners when they start buying players.

Glazers.....their last "feck you fans".

Agreed. I’ve always thought of them as brats without a shred of business acumen between them.
If Avram & Joel think they’re being shrewd, then they should also realise that the situation could potentially backfire on them if they think they can carry on and choose to do nothing.

People make tongue-in-cheek comparisons to Succession but it's really not that much of a stretch.

I see them mostly as Connors though, not even one of them is close to Kendall.

The Glazers don't give a feck about the club and success. They care about how much they can squeeze out of it. I can see this one dragging until next season if the Glazers think they can keep the bidding war between Qatar and Ineos.

That would be disastrous for us as a club but if that means an extra dollar for them they won't care.

Last night I dreamt Qatar was announced. I was in a tile store shopping for an armchair. Make of that what you will.

A worryingly high amount of our fans seem to have zero understanding of the club's history.

People seem to think a Sheikh buying us is better than the Treble. Again, back to my previous post about obsession with transfers.

The poster seems to think we won the league in 92.

It's probably true but Simon Jones isn't really a reliable source. Wouldn't put any stock into what he's saying.

Until the takeover or acquisition process has officially started, there's nothing stopping us from buying/selling players.
No out its very rare that transfers happen in the midst of a takeover. Namely becuase it impacts ths value of the club if the suddenly spent 100 million. I would be surprised to see any transfers take place before this is settled.

It's really intersting that there isn't much on bids beyond that of SR and SJR, yes i'm aware of the Zilliacus and Elliott. In comparision to Chelseas 6, glazers don't seem to have options. Or have i missed some other bids?
I’m sure Utd would have a lot more bids if we were being sold at the chelsea price as opposed to a world record £6 billion.

Probably because the majority of people voting were either not born or too young when we won the treble 24 years ago and even more so when we won the first title in the 90s.
