McT 40m?
Decent player but the United tax is usually the other round.
Yes but soon West Ham is a club with a lot of money and a glaring hole in the center of the park...that might work in our favour. People can say what they want about mcT and Maguire - but getting those 2 players for £60 million and still having £40 million left after selling Rice is a good deal for them.

Oh God just sell the cnut ffs. Even with our weird GK situation, Henderson clearly does not want to be here. Is that the sort of player we want to be moving forward with?
I don't think the issue was not wanting to be here but rather about being promised being first choice and then not given the chance. Admittedly, he should not have done that interview considering he is still on contract with United.

He doesn't want to be here now, by all accounts. And besides, even if he was told he was first choice going into the new season, he got injured and had to be replaced. Those are the breaks.

Luckhurst - "Dean Henderson is convinced he will join Nottingham Forest Permanently. Forest have mooted a possible 30m pounds deal for Henderson. United's complex goalkeeper situation could delay his expected departure. "
Why are we dithering with this, he's not good enough and he clearly not interested at being at the club so why bother keeping him under any circumstances?

Realistically we can't sell him before we settle the De Gea situation, which will be resolved in 3 days.

You wonder how people will respond if DDG decides to stay. The response has been good in the past. Not too sure this time.
It will be a bit of a tough one to swallow, especially if he doesn't improve his distribution. That being said I reckon we get a no 2 that will displace him if he doesn't.

That will be OK if it is a good, maybe young goalie with lots of potential. Knowing us we will sign someone who cannot get a game for another team and is over 35 but is happy to pick up a big wage to sit on the bench.

I wouldn't even mind someone like Manuel Riemann, 34, but stylistically plays the way we want to go. Would cost next to nothing and would be happy to fight for his place.

Maybe. I am still a bit annoyed how we treat Sergio Romero. Won the EL and gets dumped.

Sadly this comes down to vision and philosophy. Watching a lot of the Herrera interviews on MUTV makes me think the same, he would have been fantastic in the squad even now!

Because having no goalkeeper isn't a very good bargaining position. With De Geas situation we simply can't afford to offload Henderson before we get someone in.

Oh it will be a sweet deal for us. I’m thinking the prices are reflecting the players that don’t want to leave but clubs are showing interest in them.

Van de Sar signed for us when he was 35, and if I remember correctly, he is still the oldest player to win the Premier League.

He came in as a main goalkeeper after years to struggling to replace Big Pete. It will either mean at that age they will have to be top notch to replace DDG. Otherwise it would just be another bench warmer.

Pete left 2-3 years before VDS came. I think VDS came to replace Barthez.

Says after we backed out we offered a new, even lower deal which is yet to be signed by David, can't blame him but all signs point to phasing him out at number 1.
