Was never a priority.Gutted to be missing out, one of the most wanted transfers i wanted to happen ever.

This argument is pointless. One thing doesn't have to do with the other. In a few months, you will join the regretting people as KMJ is not a one season wonder. He is one of the best CBs in the world and we missed out on him.Everyone getting upset remember that Tomori and Smalling are two of the best centre backs in that league.
Also Bailly was brilliant for his first season with us.
One season wonder in an average league sounds extremely risky to me.
In what way would you say there was there a big gap? Varane-Martinez played 16 PL games together and lost 4 games, 5 draws and 7 wins = 26 points. Most of our wins, points and cleans sheets came when one of them wasn’t playing. Think very few clubs have better backups for the CB positions. No, all i am saying is ETH thinks he can reduce the drop off in quality from Lis/Varane to Maguire/Lindelof. Last season this gap was way to big
True. Still it’s undoubted that adding Kim to a back line where the starting CBs probably can only pair up for a third of all fixtures and backups are - especially Maguire - can’t play ETHs build up game, would have made a BIG difference. No matter if he’s a starter or backup or whatever. In what way would you say there was there a big gap? Varane-Martinez played 16 PL games together and lost 4 games, 5 draws and 7 wins = 26 points. This is like when De Ligt moved to JuveWords can’t describe how disappointed I am. I have a feeling he would become best defender in the world, if he wasn’t already.
The release clause isn't even in play until literally now. Nobody was signing him until July, the most that could happen is what Bayern have done and that is agree everything and have it in place.Unless I’m mistaken, they haven’t signed him yet, have they?
Because I remember some posters already saying we’re a shambolic club for not already wrapping the deal and so on. Is Bayern in shambles too now?
Anyways, with Pavard and Hernandez gone this summer, CB was a high priority for Bayern, not so much for us. Good signing for them
I know he has a release clause active only from July, but some in here were already calling for heads because we hadn’t signed him two weeks agoThe release clause isn't even in play until literally now. They were calling for heads, since he is joining Bayern and not United.I know he has a release clause active only from July, but some in here were already calling for heads because we hadn’t signed him two weeks ago

To be fair, de Ligt is class.I remember when Upamecano and De Ligt were going to be the best defenders in the world too.
No no it was before Bayern showed interest, people were already complaining he hadn’t signed yetThey were calling for heads, since he is joining Bayern and not United.
Have you seen what we looked like at the back when Varane and Martinez were both out injured? Lindelof can do a decent job at CB, but the last thing we need is to either move Shaw away from LB or playing Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named at CB again.Unless I’m mistaken, they haven’t signed him yet, have they?

If they were it was a small minority because everyone knew the clause was active in July.No no it was before Bayern showed interest, people were already complaining he hadn’t signed yet
A back three of Min-Jae, de Ligt and Upamecano is going to be pretty strong in fairness. With Davies and Mazzraoi as fullbacks they’ll be a solid bet in CL next season under Tuchel.I remember when Upamecano and De Ligt were going to be the best defenders in the world too.
I dont see a big difference between that and Hernandez, De Ligt, Upamecano tbh. KMJ isnt going t magically solve their problems.A back three of Min-Jae, de Ligt and Upamecano is going to be pretty strong in fairness. Surely it’s not here we go until they actually trigger the clause?Tweet

Upamecano is wank though and has been for a long while, even before his horror show in the CL.A back three of Min-Jae, de Ligt and Upamecano is going to be pretty strong in fairness. With Davies and Mazzraoi as fullbacks they’ll be a solid bet in CL next season under Tuchel.
Availability is the issue with Hernandez, not his quality.I dont see a big difference between that and Hernandez, De Ligt, Upamecano tbh. KMJ isnt going t magically solve their problems.
The defenders weren't really a problem last season - apart from Upamecano's mistakes versus City. The balance in midfield without a true no. 6 and in some matches the lack of a 9 were the real problems - that should be solved this transfer window. Raiding Tottenham for Kane and Höjbjerg (as I think that he could complement Kimmich very well - and I like his mentality since he played for Bayern's U23 - seldom have seen a so mature 17-year-old) would be my wish solution...I dont see a big difference between that and Hernandez, De Ligt, Upamecano tbh. KMJ isnt going t magically solve their problems.
Of course it does, it shows that players who we wouldn't rate as among the best Centre Backs in the world can flourish in that league. This argument is pointless. name checks out I guess.an average league
Originality doesn't.name checks out I guess.
If I recall didn't Fab get all trigger happy last year with the Martinez deal? Here we go'd for Arsenal then we came in.Surely it’s not here we go until they actually trigger the clause?
Golden brother why would you do that to me?
I’m gutted too. Thought he’d be a good fit here, but I have the say Lindelof has improved. Just as long as he doesn’t play next to MaguireGolden brother why would you do that to me?
