I'm delighted for Kenin. She was excellent. I do see a lot of negativity towards Gauff across the internet, due to all the hype she has received over the years (I remember how a big a deal she was a 15 year old at Wimbledon 4 years ago), but that seems incredibly harsh to me. It's not like she has written all the various articles about her, has bigged herself up on ESPN etc.

Also it was nice to see Jodie Burrage enjoying her first ever grand slam main draw win. She has had a lot of injury problems in the past, and was understandably emotional afterwards.

To be honest I find women's tennis more interesting than men's tennis these days. Across both 128 player grand slam draws, to me there are simply more female players whose progress I am interested in, and early round women's matches that stand out to me. 5-10 years ago, it was the complete opposite.

Adrian Mannarino is such an interesting player. His shooting technique is so unorthodox and his style of play is always entertaining. Because hes not a power player, his point crafting makes for a nice match.

Looks a bit like Zizou to boot

Washout day today at Wimbledon, pretty much just got the first set complete from the matches that started at 11am. The next few days are due to be extremely busy now. The forecast for next week doesn't look great either but they should be able to catch up sufficiently that it's not a big problem.

They should play 24/7 on the roof courts to deal with the backlog in such situations.

I said that having just watched him win. But isn’t he expected to not do amazing?
I don’t think anyone is bothering to get too excited because he’s due to play tsitsipas in the next round, although Thiem is currently a set up. Plus the press have had the cricket team to feast on instead.

Murray will smoke Tsitsipas if they play next round. He has a good chance of making the fourth round or even the quarters.

Why are they playing round 2 matches when there are round 1 matches that haven't even started? They're having a mare with the logistics.

Looking forward to the Sinner match, he looks really good whenever I watch him. Dark horse to win (obviously it will be Djokovic but it's fun to imagine)

I think it's about sticking the big stars (and some lowly Brits) to the center court and court 1. Silly.

Order of play is absolute carnage. No rain on the forecast tomorrow but an awful lot of matches to get through.

I'm going on Friday and as it stands I don't really have an idea of what I might see.

He’s got a great shot at the SF if he can somehow get past Tsitsipas but it’s been matches like this where he’s struggled in recent years. Expect a 4 set Tsitsipas win.

Cressy vs Djere is the type of match I can't stand on grass courts. Serve heavy, few break points and inevitable tie breaks

Murray the betting favorite for tonights marquee match against Tsitsipas.
Seems weird that he's favourite but with Tsitsipas having played a 5-setter yesterday evening and a days rest for Murray I think it will be close.

The only question in this tournament is who is going to be defeated in the final against Novax.

Can’t see that happening but maybe he can produce one great performance to take Novak out in the next round?
I was being tongue in cheek but given the history of the rivalry it will be nice to see the two of them play each other, even if I expect it to be a comfortable win for Novak.

Yeah it's a tough watch and does nothing for his already quite soft rep.
