Doesn't look particularly nippy in the few clips I've seen. Not that I would have liked Kane for this really.

Not bothered about overpaying 10-15M. We very simply needed a striker, ideally one with ten years of development and contribution ahead and not another stopgap. If he is the profile ETH wanted feck it, move om. If he isn't... then we are fecked anyway.
From what I've read he is pretty rapid. Speed isn't an issue

I guess it must be 64m + 8m euros and all the journalists changed it to pounds as they normally do. 70m euros(reported by Romano) is a much more believable price which Atlanta will surely be happy with.

Yes, and those four players were in reality worth approximately nothing, meaning Osimhen's real cost was around 50m.
No it's the opposite. The announced price was 81m but the actual one for Lille was 68m.

The usual year in year out moaners doing what they do in every transfer thread. Getting their moan on.

welcome to United Rasmus. Home of a fantastic club but with idiot fans. Good luck to you!

Some of the amateur fecking accountants in here, feck me. Some people just have to have a moan about anything and everything. You don’t see Madrid fans whining why they spent x on a player they really wanted. They just celebrate getting them. Which is what we should be doing here. Why the obsession over the fee? The same should be expected of him whether we paid 55m or 75m.

The bottom line is that he was the managers top choice for a CF, and we’ve gotten the deal done at a price we could afford, and early in the window. In a position we DESPERATELY needed to strengthen. I don’t understand what’s not to like here.

Madrid dropped 80m on a bench player for the future last summer, as they forward plan, and their fans took it with typical big dick energy. Meanwhile we’ve got a gaggle of mewling quims, who get a better chubby from winning the bookkeeping DoF olympics, than actually building a good squad. The same harem of snivlepots who are still whining about how much Antony cost, or think jokes about “preparing a bid, or monitoring developments” are still funny.

This place is honestly such a depressing buzzkill most of the time. Shoot me for coming in excited we’ve signed a top talent, for a position we were desperately lacking in. I should’ve known I’d be walking into a nerdy, uninformed, nihilistic circle jerk.

He is fast. There are a lot of things I'm not too convinced about but he's definitely quick and strong.

Really looking forward to seeing this young lad grow. Definitely looks a prospect. Nice to finally get our hands on a promising prospect that can potentially be moulded into an elite striker that will be the focal point of our attack for years to come.

Finally seems like the cycle of bringing in aging big name strikers well past their prime on a free to plaster over the cracks for another season is coming to an end (no disrespect to Zlatan or Cavani, both put in huge amounts of work for us but they were never long term solutions - we’ve been crying out for a long term option for years). Good luck Rasmus, got every faith that you’ll do well

Most positive post of the day, and from an oppo. Have a fecking long hard look at yerselves in the mirror redcafe.
I feel anything but positive about this move. I hate it with every fibre of my being. But it is what it is. You’ve got yourselves a kid with unbelievable potential.

He'll be good, no doubt about it, but he won't be enough on his own. Even an old lad on a free or a young fellah on loan to give us a few more options, otherwise this kid will be burned out by February.

I have no idea either, yet.

We also praise Real for their proactivity when spending. It's all bizarre.

Here's an idea on his speed for those wondering. (starts at 2:07)

More promising than his decision making based on that clip.

You didn’t have the notion that it was going to be a walk in the park did you?
I can understand the sarcasm. There is a battle for top 4 and there is a battle for the league. Two teams inevitably pull away from the rest and it’ll happen again this season. If you are ‘battling’ for top 4 then it’s likely to be a mediocre season. Like you, I hope Ten Hag’s signings will take us to that next level but I don’t think they will.

As I said before, when ETH wants his man the club will deliver it to him even if overpaying, no doubt that ETH pushed hard for him. If he gets it wrong again (as with Antony) then he really shouldn’t get a say in big money transfers again. But I have a good feeling about him.

He’s very raw, there’s no way around that, he’s very unproven but Ten Hag is a brilliant coach to develop under so I think he’s in good hands. I just hope the fans give him time.

I would have taken him at Chelsea.
They won't on here, but the regular match goers will love him I think. Seems a real fighter.

I think most were taking it for granted considering we finished 3rd last season tbh. Can't be denied that missing out on CL would be a pretty disastrous season

You pronounce the ø as o, or are you just trying to be nice to the Brits? :)
In Norway ø isn't even close to an o sound.

Thanks! Very exciting, looking forward to having an actual 9, even if they need a little work.

I think ETH wanted Kane. Hope I'm wrong but this feels a bit like the Gakpo deal where he felt desperate for new signings and just wanted someone and fast.

Excited by this lad, looks a physiCal handful which we need, can hold the ball up and bring others into play and seems to a good burst of pace in him.

Its a lot of money but it’s nice to pick up a young forward and not miss out.

I think they will as long as there are signs of early promise. I think Nunez was similar with Nunez, while many oppo fans laughed at him I think a good portion of Liverpool fans can/could see his potential.

Come here and perform like Weghorst and fans will lose their patience but as long as he's showing signs of progress I think he will be fine, despite the fee and the age the expectations won't be as high as a Sancho for example.

Whisper it, but unless we somehow land Kane, then it'll be Hojlund and Greenwood next season.

And how is that his fault? Should he not be given same amount of time to settle as Jackson? Expectations should be the exact same.
They will not be. Don't be silly.

No one will care if Jackson is a success at Chelsea. Everyone will care about Hojlund and will be looking to tear him down.

That's what comes with a big fee. People will be looking to tear down Havertz and Rice also.

Their 'ø' is close to our 'å' I believe. Would be something like Håjlån to us I think.

Very exciting transfer.

Nice to see us being a serious club. No more stop gaps like Ighalo and Weghorst.
