Everyone will focus on his error for the 4th but no one will focus on his goal saving tackle around 2 minutes before that which would've killed the game

Didn't think he was too bad today but hardly inspiring. Difficult place to go and have a match, wouldn't really give him many negative points today but no positive ones as well.
Ha! Post like this always make me laugh.

He has never had a great big game away from home for us.

His error for the 4th essentially cost us the game, so yes of course it gets focus. He did immense defensive work today, but he needs to stop being so fecking careless in possesion.

For the type of football the manager wants to play Bruno isn't the guy and we have made it worse by giving him the armband.

But if most of our players exerted the same energy he gives every game, we would be a little bit harder to play against

What's my point? Changing Bruno for another top AM wouldn't make much of a difference because our main problem isn't Bruno.
Can you honestly say, after watching this performance from Musiala and Bruno respectively, that replacing him with an actual top AM wouldn't make a difference?

Always happy to bring some happiness in the world. Also didn't really say he had a great game anywhere... So don't really know what you mean. Surely you have not been in this thread if you think I am one of his fanboys.

What type of football do you think our manager wants to play? He himself has said he wants to play transition based football which suits Bruno, rather than controlling the ball in the opponents third.

Out of everyone on the pitch, I'm probably the most annoyed with him today. This guy SERIOUSLY lacks any speck of composure as a player. He's one of the main culprits of making things implode when things start going bad. Needs to be the person to step on the ball and play calm, slow it down, lift others up. Instead, he starts going into hero ball, going for killer balls from wherever, shooting from wherever, he gets petulant, he puts in lazy tackles, he abandons his position to charge around rather than play calm.

He's a quality player, but feck he can be so frustrating.

A playmaker that can't carry the ball, struggles to hold off a challenge, and has zero composure. We are going nowhere.

Is that supposed to absolve the error? So if I recover the ball I get a free licence to go lose it?

I feel confident that Bruno will have an awful game tomorrow. He hasn't played well against a big team in his entire time at the club, and in my opinion, is nowhere near the personality required of a captain.
The funny thing is this is obvious to all except those that bury their heads in the sand when it comes to Bruno. You just know it's an absolute certainty Bruno will go missing against better players/teams.

The complete opposite of a big game raiser. He's the attacking midfield Lukaku, good numbers but shite in big games and barely any trophies. The only difference between them is that Lukaku is a twat off the pitch.

Bruno is one of the biggest problems in the team. Not him in itself but the belief that he's a top player and one that can play a part in getting us back to the top. Those who believe and continue to believe are being sold fools gold.

What was the thinking in making him captain?

You can shite on about how the position is "ceremonial" but what if the players believe in having a leader and you have this absolute child leading you? Having a toddler tantrum because you can't get on to his awful pass that was 20 yards overhit, losing his shit at the first sign of a setback in a match. How does that inspire or calm and compose teammates?

Would not stop our midfield leaking goals

I don't mind Bruno on RW. But IMO Mount is needed in midfield now. Possibly even with Amrabat.
Both Casemiro and Eriksen look cooked.
Agree. We're banking on one of Amrabat or Mainoo saving this midfield this season really. Doubt either will be enough.

I don't know about the Harden comparison. Harden has consistently been good to very good individually, it's just that his style won't see you win agains the best teams in the playoff but even then you remain close. Bruno is more like KAT.

He's been this way since we signed him and no one seems to realize it. Every fecking time the game goes against us he does that, just like he gets REALLY lazy in possession the more fatigued he becomes.

@Rozay please show yourself and defend your locked thread "We're never winning the league with Bruno Fernandes in the team". The stage is yours.

Footballer with no press resistance, ball carrying and ball retention ability. Chaotic, brainless. Wonder when he will be replaced.

Nah Harden is the right comparison even if Harden's top level is a bit better. Both need to dominate the ball and get tons of usage for them to be useful. Both require the team to adapt to cover for their deficiencies and both require the right players around them for them to be effective. And just like Harden, Bruno gets nullified against better teams in big games.

It’s very obvious he’s a massive problem in the team.

Not what I asked.

Do you think we would be better with Mbappé in the team instead of Rashford? Would he stop our midfield leaking goals?
One of the most popular responses. Usually the response involves something about McTominay also being rubbish.

Considering Bruno is currently doing a defensive shift in our midfield I think it matters.

I’ve always said I would prefer someone like Maddison. However he needs to be allowed to focus on front pressing and attacking. At the moment he is running himself ragged and as a consequence being sloppy

Cost us the fourth goal with a terrible ball out to the left for Garnacho.

Same old story every week, wants to do everything himself and either gets caught on the ball or loses possession with a terrible pass.
