He needs to stop taking advice off Rashford and do the opposite of what he does
ah Rashford is now even to blame for Garnachos faults I see.

Garnacho is a very promising player and a joy to watch. I would love him to start more games on either the left or the right. But he needs to be more clinical with his chances.

Really looked like the pressure got to him there. Despite his confidence, he's still young. We do look a better team with him on the left and Rashford right though.

I can see why he's not starting to be fair :( . Kid's still really young and learning but we have to be realistic at the moment. Other than Hojlund none of our attackers are playing well.

I was thinking about this and who the mentors for hoijlund, garnacho would be.
I really don't think we have the right level of experienced players to help the youngsters in situations needed

Gone out of form a little but he would still provide more than Rashford on the left. He at least puts effort in defensively and occasionally passes.

Missed two really good chances to score. Disappointing performance. overall. But, he's still young and he'll likely improve.

Please don't become a Januzaj, Garnacho. Please be just a light version of Ronaldo instead.

With the derby next I'd save him from that game. Let Bruno and Rashford stink the place out and get schooled by City as a reward for being shite all season.

Let Garnacho start against Newcastle or Fulham.

Hmmm. Do players need mentors, though? It may help, but players like Saka, Haaland, Martinelli, etc haven't had experienced players, yet they seem to be thriving. Yes, you could argue they have a better team, but they still need to produce the good week in, week out, which they do very well.

I'm a big fan of Garnacho but he was very hit and miss when he came on. Some nice touches but for every one of those he gave the ball away cheaply. Hopefully that'll improve as he matures.

Normally his finishing is very good but butchered two brilliant chances today. The one where he shot straight at the keeper, last season he curled a near identical chance inside the post v West Ham, he's just not as sharp this season. And that one on one, oh dear! Brilliant first touch but for me, a confident in form Garnacho doesn't need a second touch, he puts it away.

It's the urgency and directness he brings that makes him look more impactful than Rashford.

Should have scored 2.

If Rashford had made the mistakes Garnacho made in this game, he'd be crusified for it. I think Garnacho is an impact sub at the moment and that's it for me.

If you demand to be paid like a star - you also need to play like one.

And Rashford isn't 19 anymore, the guy is 25yo, the expectations are a lot higher for him.

I agree. However this isn't the point that most people on here are making. They're instead suggesting that replacing Rashford with Garnacho, ignoring the fact that Garnacho has had more than his fair share of poor performances this season.

What it should be about is, who gives us the best chance to win. While Rashford hasn't been great, he still gives us a better chance than Garnacho is what I believe. Garnacho, is more effective as an impact sub against tiring legs like Rashy use to be.

Head down …not looking up…kicking the ball past a defender and running after it …..sound familiar ?
Yes because that is clearly what Rashford is advising, were you there when this advise was dispensed?

Even in one of his poorer cameos today he caused more problems then Rashford did.
Big fan of Garnacho and would like him to start more, but he was in a game that was way more open than Rashford was.

I'm not anti Scottish, I just wanted Moyes out.

I find talk (outrage?) around scuffed penalty spots hilarious - has anyone here taken a penalty on a NON scuffed penalty spot on a Sunday morning?!

Rashford does make these mistakes. And he also has shit hold up play on top.

I think mentor is the wrong word, maybe experience surrounding him. Somebody for him to pick up good habits from especially when training.

Surprised at the hate for the performance last night. Yes he missed two chances, but he got two chances in 20 minutes. Think his movement and everything seemed really sharp. Thought he looked great apart from a finish.

Aye, I'd rather he be getting on the end of chances than not getting them at all.

Any other team than United and the player would be applauded for his shithousery giving an advantage. I for one am delighted some of our players are now starting to play the game we have been subjected to for years.

I expected him to improve from last season but it seems his decision making got worse.
He also needs more minutes, can't be worse than the current version of Rashford. Or he should start on the right, Antony is clearly not getting any better at football.

Glad our fanbase is so generous and patient. One more year and he's old enough to be written off as a new Januzaj, though.

Or we could just accept that not every teenager is a Rooney or a Ronaldo.

Hahah, little rascal.

And feck that Copenhagen long haired prick laughing in the background before the penalty. You didn't laugh in the end did you

EDIT: Martial seems like he is supervising him while the kid does the job.
