Obviously no malice was intended toward his teammate but it's not hard to see the FA throw the book at Garnacho, the fukks that the FA are.
Or they were simply being sarcastic by saying the level of discourse on here is a joke in comparison to the excellent discussions you’d find on the Daily Mail.So you're agreeing with lsd then? If the level of discourse on this forum is "a joke," as you believe, then it is indeed (according to you) at a similar level to that of the Daily Mail.
No what is a joke is that you can't seem to have differing views and not extreme ones without being accused of being a daily mail reader by some posters. Is that the level of debate you want?So you're agreeing with lsd then? If the level of discourse on this forum is "a joke," as you believe, then it is indeed (according to you) at a similar level to that of the Daily Mail.
@Taribo's Gap may agree with those people.I fully expect that some people are going to call Onana racist towards himself now.
That's how mental this has become.
That's quality. Good on Onana for coming out and doing this.Tweet

It would be insane to take offence on behalf of someone not offended. It has little bearing on what FA will do though.
This is where I am at. It's like they are too thick to be left alone with a mobile phone. There is seemingly no end to the idiocy of these guys.
Look, this thing is simply ridiculous. And it's very much a sign of our times that something like this gets blown insanely out of proportion. There should be nothing about this unless the presumed victim, Onana, feels he has been racially abused.
What in anything I have written would lead you to believe that?@Taribo's Gap may agree with those people.
Welcome to today’s fecked up World. It would be insane to take offence on behalf of someone not offended.
This argument sometimes get made, and I don't really understand it. It's predicated on the idea that a person is oblivious to any and all historically racist tropes.I always think incidents like this say more about those pointing fingers. They are the ones making the connection between a gorilla and a black man surely?
Do you think anyone is offended (or even pretending to be offended) in this thread? The right on army will pay no heed to Onana's words. They are offended and that's all that matters.
There's a pretty obvious issue with that rationale though. There should be nothing about this unless the presumed victim, Onana, feels he has been racially abused.
Garnacho obviously meant nothing bad from it.
It is clear that the tweet was intended to be no more than a joke between close friends. However, this was not a private jocular communication between two friends. The post was on a social media platform exposed to the 600,000 followers of a high-profile and well-respected professional footballer.
As a general rule? No, that doesn't work. For a number of reasons. It would be insane to take offence on behalf of someone not offended.

But anyone black could take offence to this.Welcome to today’s fecked up World.
De Gea is built like a fishing rod. There is no way Garnacho uses a Gorilla emoji if De Gea made that saved. It was a mistake and he should have thought before posting, but it is ban worthy imo, just hopefully for not more than a few games.
They could also take offence to not being Reffered to as African American. People taking offence in something is their business, not everybody eles and it’s not up to everybody else to jump to every whimsical over reaction from tinternet policeBut anyone black could take offence to this.
Anything to avoid the enquiry into Man CityObviously no malice was intended toward his teammate but it's not hard to see the FA throw the book at Garnacho, the fukks that the FA are.
Llama is the official DDG emojiDe Gea is built like a fishing rod.
Oh give over with all this taking offence nonsenseBut anyone black could take offence to this.
I take offence to you telling people to give over with all this taking offenceOh give over with all this taking offence nonsense
They did that with Cavani. Cavani's friend was not offended. The post was not even in EnglishIt would be insane to take offence on behalf of someone not offended.
Comparing a black person to a gorilla is not racist? They could also take offence to not being Reffered to as African American. People taking offence in something is their business, not everybody eles and it’s not up to everybody else to jump to every whimsical over reaction from tinternet police
Garnacho didn’t post anything racist, some people will want to interpret it that way, but it wasn’t a racist post, really is that simple.
if he pleads ignorance/stupidity and shows them his prison break tattoo he has a strong caseObviously no malice was intended toward his teammate but it's not hard to see the FA throw the book at Garnacho, the fukks that the FA are.
He didn’t compare him to a gorilla , he compared him to something strong. Onana interpreted it that way, who cares how you interpreted it, it wasn’t meant for you.Comparing a black person to a gorilla is not racist?
