That deserves an investigation of its own tbfThen again he signed Antony
Yeah it really doesThat deserves an investigation of its own tbf
Can't see him taking a 2.7 million pay cut personally? My bad. I thought it was lower. Anyway we should take him if he says "I'm willing to join you until summer for 300K per week", but we all know that's unrealistic
It isn't the signing that is the issue it is how much we paid and why nobody had the b***s to say he costs too much so lets go elsewhere. That deserves an investigation of its own tbf
Would it be?6 month loan on with the Saudi club paying half of his wages...it'd be a shrewd move.
Well, I didn't mention signing him permanently anywhere so this is entirely your scenario.Would it be?
Benzema scores some goals, convincing the club to get him permanently, only to find out next season he was washed all along.
A scenario that is pretty likely.
Come on, you know the club would entertain the idea, if a loan spell goes well.Well, I didn't mention signing him permanently anywhere so this is entirely your scenario.
With SJR, and what we've done since EtH's been around (Dubravka, Butland, Sabitzer, Wout, Reguilon) I can't see us singing any loanees on a permanent.Come on, you know the club would entertain the idea, if a loan spell goes well.
For the 352th time: he is earning EUR 200m net per season.6 month loan on with the Saudi club paying half of his wages...it'd be a shrewd move.
What in the christ ! That is bananas. I wouldn't take him for 10% of that. You are willing to pay him 3m per week?
I think people don’t realize that he is on 200m(!) net(!) per year.
So 3 million per week yeah6 month loan on with the Saudi club paying half of his wages...it'd be a shrewd move.
If he wants to go back to Europe because he is unhappy he knows he isn't going to get even a tenth part of what he earns in Saudi. For the 352th time: he is earning EUR 200m net per season.
This is approximately GBP 6m per week. You want to pay him 3m a week?!
TBH I dont give a shit if they pay all his salary I still don't want another money-grabbing, egocentric twat who is past his prime, in this club. It didn't work with Ronaldo and at least there was *some* emotional positive with him (even though, since he first tried to sign with fecking City, I call BS on his emotions as well), doing the same with Benzema is nuts6 month loan on with the Saudi club paying half of his wages...it'd be a shrewd move.
Well according to McDonnell we have no interest in a loan deal for him so end of thatTBH I dont give a shit if they pay all his salary I still don't want another money-grabbing, egocentric twat who is past his prime, in this club. We need to focus on rebuild and stop chasing aged have-beens that will just shit in our dressing room culture even more
First good thing I’ve heard todayWell according to McDonnell we have no interest in a loan deal for him so end of that
Now watch him buy Bayern`s bench player De Ligt for 100 million euros in the summerThat deserves an investigation of its own tbf
Someone like Toney who has never played for a top club, would probably cost 100m and has not played in months, makes way more sense than bringing in a former world class player on a 6-month loan? I mean I am aware of Benzema's wages and I would only loan him if he's hard on the idea of playing in the PL and would be willing to earn a "reasonable" salary (something like 350k per week, which would be around 9m in total). He is finished and too expensive (he is like on 3-4 million euros a week). No way we bring him even on loan, someone like Toney will make way more sense.
I mean in this fake scenario though we are operating as if United is "shrewd" so they wouldn't be fooled into signing Benzema permanently anyways.Would it be?

Ivan the gambler ToneyLooks very much like club are moving away from this type of deal, just wish we could get some experienced help for Rasmus
I dunno, he's a little on the young side. I hear that Roque Santa Cruz is still playing.Seems just the sort of character and age we should be targeting

He would take the PL by storm for the rest of the season, we’d sign him permanently on a massive contract, then he’d turn to shit shortly after. Classic United move.As we cant sign any players permanently this winter, I dont get why so many are against a short term (loan?) move for Benz. Seems like he would be willing to have a huge pay cut too, just to get out of the Saudi league. 6 month contract with an option to extend (which we should never trigger). A mentor for Hojlund and placeholder for a real striker signing in the summer. He would definitely improve our overall play with his link up skills.
For 200m euros, I'd be willing to play for the Gulag Zeks for a year. And I'd make no unhappy sounds. For the 352th time: he is earning EUR 200m net per season.

And that would cost us 60-70m.Would take him on a Larson type 3-4 month loan.
No one is going to pay anywhere close to that, if he does to Europe, he will take massive paycut. And that would cost us 60-70m.
I fail to see how a loan deal for Benzema makes any sense. From a sporting perspective, he had several options but he moved to Saudi for a massive payday, where he's been for half a season. The level of the league is a bit of a disaster and bringing him to England, in January, makes it highly likely that he'll need plenty of time to adjust and get up to speed. It's an unforgiving league where he'll have very little time on the ball. We're also talking about a player that's close to retirement age and needs the team to be built around him. Bringing back Ronaldo was an overall disaster, Benzema isn't likely to be any better and the financials doesn't make sense either. As we cant sign any players permanently this winter, I dont get why so many are against a short term (loan?) move for Benz.
