I played the second demo and i'm still just not feeling this :( . The female chadley was irritating, the map was uninspiring and graphically i don't actually feel it looks amazing at all, but i think that's just something this generation of consoles hasn't really excelled at besides a few noticeable games. Graphics mode looks sharper but the frame rate feels rotten.

I wish SE would retire the stagger system too. Another reason to hate FF XIII for inventing it .

Why don't people buy stuff digitally? Guaranteed to arrive on day one every time...

I really liked the second demo. The comvat is great. The dumb VR girl hunt explainer sucks though. Rather immersion breaking.
Because it costs about £15-20 more and I can't trade in a digital game.

The ps5 store download is the same price as Amazon. Anyone know if you can download the game before the release date and it unlocks at a certain time or do you have to download it on the day it's released? My internet is kind of shitty so it'll take hours to download and I'd be sitting there waiting 8 hours to play the game on Thursday if it's the latter.

I purchase games from Hit (formerly base) and they usually arrive on release date. It's only £55 there.

I remember when I moved house and had to cart like nearly a hundred physical games over and find a place for them, most of which I would never play again.

Have only bought digital since.

Yup, this. I buy scarcely to be honest but when I do it’s based where the best deal is available and whether I intend to play that game again or sell off.

I've owned all consoles since the NES, but as I'm the opposite of a hoarder I've thrown them all away, including the bazillion games. Bit of a waste obviously, but being able to buy stuff digitally has been a godsend. No more silly boxes cluttering my house.

XVI got great scores too and was rubbish.

That said I really enjoyed Remake, even if it was overly linear and probably not quite worth the acclaim it got, and it looks like this has improved on it.

Not this good though. Evened out at 87 (which is still too high). The last Final Fantasy to get a rating like this was 9.

I never finished Remake. There were just too many cutscenes. Is it worth trying to get through to the end?
I'm the same. Tried to get into it because I know rebirth was coming soon. I really liked 16 but found 7 remake to be far too slow paced, and the cut scenes / dialogue was just too cringe - even for a FF game.

Streamers/Youtubers seem to be hitting 90+ hours on the game and that's just doing a normal playthrough without even touching hard mode yet.:drool:

I just hope it's not full of fluff - have seen a few reviews that say there's quite a bit of Ubisoft type crap in the open world.

There's definitely gonna be fluff. That's kind of their thing. I don't mind the abundance of mini games though, I like mini games.

I do hope the side quests would be a little better than the first game but I'm not holding out any hope.

Side quests in remake were crap. It may just be a FF thing though.
