Watkins is killing me each week, I really am the architect of my own downfall, need to stop trying to be cleaver and play it safe.

Feels good when you have Watkins, but also bad when ML rival has him as captain.
Know the feeling. Direct rival has him captain, I don't but 3rd place doesn't have him at all and probably why he's 3rd after leading for a long time.

@Dirty Schwein I'm thinking of bringing Doughty in before the price rise but not sure if he's still playing wing back. I didn't watch the game but I saw a comment that he switched to CB after an injury.

I actually hate him.
We are working on kidnapping him and presenting him to you outside your pick of spoons.

How's your WC looking? I'm still quite 50-50. As of now I can field 8 assuming rich isn't back by then with one hit over next two weeks. I will have this

Areola
Porro Mengi
Son Bowen (and Rich)
Watkins Toney Morris

Is there anyone huge that I'm missing there?

The other thing is only having one Bou player for 28 but then there's no obvious pick from them. In goal areola has Burnley next week so not having Neto isn't that bad as well.

So am I missing any major threat over next weeks that I will gain with a WC?

He moved to LCB but quickly moved back out to LWB as he is completely lost central. Osho isn't injured long term as far as I know and we don't know if Bell has sustained a long injury. We've also seen that Hashioka can play CB so I would assume Doughty carries on playing wide. He also takes corners and many free kicks. And at his price and fixtures, he's worth it.

I think you have the big hitters and can always get Madison if Rich is injured so I don't think you need WC.

I can only field like 5 players so I have no choice and will hit the button once I stop sulking about the Luton result.

Yeah I can possibly take a second hit for Doughty or Barkley in 28 and get the double and the blank. So with two hits in two weeks I can get to 9 or 10 based on rich fitness and also Porro is doubtful.

But as of now I also have 5/6 in 29 with two FTs and 2 hits taking it to 9/10.

Just feel like WCing into these players needed for 28/29 is very short term and things will become a mess very soon again if the doubles don't drop as expected. There's already a lot of chat that 35 or 36 might end up as doubles and there's a bunch of other factors like tv broadcast and what not so I want to know that schedule before the final WC.

feck it, early transfer made. Alfie Doughty in because it's a no brainer and I cannot bear another week of Marc Guehi. Somehow have held on to Guehi for 17 weeks as there's always been a bigger fire to put out. 17 points in that time, 1 point a week average, what a waster.

Squad looks very healthy at the minute. Need a free hit in GW29 but happy otherwise.

Dubravka Areola
Saliba Gabriel Bradley Doughty Taylor
Saka Son Foden Palmer Gordon
Haaland Watkins Solanke

3.8m in bank

Great squad. I assume you'll be WCing in 35 then?

I just kicked Estu out of my team and I promise you, it felt like pure and utter bliss
Could only bring myself to do Senesi and Barkley in for Porro and Hwang last night. Will finish it off today I guess after watching Bournemouth.

Can't see past Neto, Senesi Solanke and Doughty, Barkley, Morris as my dgw players and then for 29 Areola, Doughty, Reguillon, Udogie, Son, Maddison, Bowen, Barkley, Watkins, Toney, Morris.

Not sure about double Spurs midfield though as Fulham away feels like a classic Spurs trap. Might be worth punting on a Forest or Fulham mid instead of Maddison.

Salah back in 30. Haaland in 31.

Interesting. If Porro can play in 29 the difference seems to be Reguillon and Maddison. Probably worth saving the chip if that's it.

I've got 4 dgw players this coming week for -4. Week after I need -4 again to get 8 out. So for me the difference is 5 extra fixtures and 8 points back over 2 gw's. I have to play the percentages and for me it's worth it especially with the way the fixtures are looking. And of course my free hit in the bank.

If I'd have stuck to my original plans I wouldn't be using any chips but here we are.

Yeah it's similar for me and the way the schedule is we all are gonna have to sacrifice one of the doubles or blanks and no one can put optimal teams for all of 28 29 34 37 and any other dgws. It's about picking your battles and deciding which ones you wanna take on and see if you can come out with less damage and which ones you wanna target.

For example I "took on" dgw 25 which was actually risky and I was lucky to come out with a gain because of injuries. But I think I am okay in taking on Bournemouth, Luton or Brentford fixtures. But... Let's see.

@Dirty Schwein is Barkley worth bringing in? Haaland to Morris is a lock and I already have Mengi so the third option is between Doughty and Barkley. Barkley has blanked 4 games in a row now but I'm also not sure on double defense. What's the third guy to get here?

Doughty crates more chances than Barkley. He would be my third.

Barkley will get the occasional goal or assist but he drops quite deep in many games and carries the ball. He 'assists the assister" a lot.
