Not bothered in the slightest, only problem is MDL injury.
Rested Bruno & Case, played kids, Ugarte good game, Mount goal, Amad back on scoresheet.
Come on Thursday.

We're a great watch for neutrals!

Embarrassing to lose to poor sides routinely. Think we have learned that Amass and Obi are a couple of years away. Shaw looks done, and I think it’s getting close to the time to have serious conversations about Mainoo

Well done to the lads for keeping going there. Lots of the young lads will learn from this which is good, and we scored 3 goals!

Also some of the comments in the match day thread were crazy... This game did not matter.

At least it didn't end 4-1, good for Garna and Amad to get goals. Really annoying for De Ligt to do what looks like his hamstring. All in all who really cares.

Fun game. Shame about the injury to De ligt, hopefully that's not ACL but doesn't look great.

Not really bothered about the rest, Brentford abused the size advantage and experience over the teenagers, while we showed some good bits too.

Garna and Ugarte played well, but annoyed they played the full 90. No more injuries please

Poor result but good minutes for the young players that will benefit from matches like these.

Decent given we played a heavily rotated team. That won’t stop the moaners though

A bit of a weird game. Not good, but not awful. But this team has a horrible habit of conceding quick fire goals, and it’s been killing us for about 3 seasons. On to Thursday we go!

I thankfully was spared this game because it wasnt on tele. Took the kids to the park in the sun.

This is a dangerous game from Amorim. If we dont win the Europa there is no glossing the disaster of this season.

Our league form for over a year is an absolute embarrassment.

Is this what the club has come to sacrificing our league seasons in the hope of winning a trophy so people can somehow convince themselves it wasn't a total failure.

Don't care about the result. All the focus should be on making the final and resting key players (which we did). Amad and mount getting on the scoresheet is great and solid effort by garnacho and Ugarte are also positives.

I see Garnacho and Amad goals as signs of individual quality that need to be complemented by better team play to give them the foundation to influence. Better pressing, better midfield play, better structure to play out of a press. That's on the manager.

Proves my point that some on here just want to be pissed off. Absolutely nothing riding on this match and the team was largely a mixture of kids with barely any Premier League experience and players coming back from injuries.

Another bent ref. 3 minutes to play when we scored the 3rd. Ball must have only been in play for a minute. Never added the 2 mins on.

Thought there were some positives to take. However more injuries are frustrating.

I noticed in this game how much intensity we lack.

It’s like, really really bad.

Scarily bad.

Honest question - realistically, next season what can Amourim do to raise the intensity of this team (in the prem) to the level that Brentford have shown in this game? I’m not saying he can’t, I’m trying to work out HOW?

Another defeat but we all know the priority is the Europa League and I’d say we’re just one defensive injury away from a real defensive crisis with Dalot and De Ligt possibly out for the season.

Yoro, Maguire and Lindelof look to be the first choice defence from now on.

Glad we showed some fight towards the end.

Going to try to explain something to the tone police who were all over the matchday thread arguing in bad faith: It's entirely possible and normal for fans to understand the bigger picture implications (EL being all that matters at this point, players being rested, etc.) while still having an emotional stake in the game and being upset or unhappy with the performance at times and with the goals conceded.

We were soundly beat in every metric physically, which I don't think bodes well for playing Spurs in the final.

I thought Mainoo was really poor today.

Went down fighting after going 4-1 behind which was a very harsh scoreline.

Meaningless match main concerns was always injuries and hopefully De Ligt season isn't over.

How many blocked shots do we have this season? Surely we are in top 3..

Best we could do under the circumstance, had chances but decision making in final third was poor.

3 best United players today:

1) Garnacho
2) Ugarte
3) Eriksen

3 worst United players today:
1) Amass
2) Shaw
3) Obi

Couldn't really care less. Shame the kids mostly had a poor game. Hopefully they can learn from it. De Ligt going down is annoying as well.

At least Amad got some more minutes, looked sharp and nicked a goal. We should be set up quite well to see the tie out on Thursday.
