If this is the case then why does he spend 90% more time talking about United underachieving than he does about Spurs?
Do you think that is partly because you watch us a lot more, so you know how poor some of our players have been this season. Whereas with Spurs we don't watch as much so are looking more at the names and what they have done in the past?If we are talking about players that are likely fit to play the final, I can't think of any of our players that clearly get into the Spurs side other than Bruno and Amad. Possibly Mazraoui over Porro, but they have very different qualities.
Yeah, that's possible. To be fair, I would have included De Ligt over Romero as well, if the former was fit to play. Son is on the decline but still has double digit goals and assists this season, and we know the technical quality he has. Porro and Bissouma are definitely up for discussion.Do you think that is partly because you watch us a lot more, so you know how poor some of our players have been this season. Because from what I've seen of them, players with big reputations like Son, Romero, Porro, Bissouma.. have been utterly terrible this season. Certainly as bad, if not worse than, Garnacho, Dalot, de Ligt, Ugarte...

Nobody beats Man Utd 4 times in a rowI do agree with him that I have a sickly feeling ahead of next week. The fact that Spurs have beaten us 3 times and at times with players missing hasn't helped and they have had the wool over us with most of the same set of players.
Didn't he also said he was going to stop doing media work once he was 50? Sadly he seems to have ramped up if anything.Apparently he's not angry anymore, he's stopped caring.
Definitely not likeableHe’s a strange one. The way he always talks down his ability too. I don’t know if he thinks it’ll make him more likeable but it just comes off weird.
Yeah, I am worried about Son, especially if he ends up playing up against Lindelof. But I'm reassured that Spurs are even worse than us in the league, and they don't even have the excuse of a manager trying to shoehorn players into an unsuitable system, so their players must have been really bad this year.Yeah, that's possible. I think it has been evident for a while that he isn't.Is Gary ok?
In the careful, measured tempo of European matches, he has. He can't survive in the Premier League anymore. The trophies he won years ago with another infinitely superior team in another league means nothing to his current ability.I genuinely think it's time to ex-communicate him from anything to do with the club. He had a very, very long leash given his achievements as a player, but some of the stuff he's come away with recently is borderline psychotic. Has he been watching casemiro recently? Hes been brilliant, and won more in one season with real madrid than the entire tottenham midfield has won in their career, yet Bissouma and sarr would start ahead of him? Come off it Gary, its far too tiresome.

He thinks that Trent Alexander-Arnold, who can’t even defend, is somehow a better right-back than him. It’s like, have some fecking self-respect, man. It's utterly bizarre.
The way he talks about himself is so odd, he was England's best right back for 10 years plus and a mainstay in the dominant team of the era. He wouldn't have been Utd's first choice right back for 15 years under Fergie if he wasn't a really good player. Yeah he wasn't one of the star players but he played an important role.
Constantly talking himself down means you get players like Micah Richards, who was a completely average nothing player that was basically semi retired by his mid 20s, genuinely thinking he was better than Neville. Neville was far better than Carragher and won about triple the amount of medals Carragher did but it's now like Carragher was some PL great and Neville was some no mark.
Very strange.
I paid no attention to carragher at all while he wa splaying, he was a nobody really. Weird how he’s been turned into a prem legend and his word taken as gospelIt's utterly bizarre.

so tell me in which way is he wrong? Who else would walk into the Spurs team? He’s become an extremely irritating little weasel.

De Ligt over Romero too.I’m talking in general. However in relation to the Spurs/Utd combined eleven I don’t disagree with him too much but I’m taking Amad over Johnson all day long, there’s probably a couple more if I actually thought about it.

Depends what means that "would walk"? He must be clearly better or if it is debatable (50:50) then Spurs player stays?so tell me in which way is he wrong? Who else would walk into the Spurs team?
De Ligt over Romero too.
It was a nonsense statement said to create headlines. That's all he's about anymore.

If it is "clearly better" criteria then only Bruno, Amad, Solanke and VDV are 4 players who clearly stand out on their positions. For all other players we can debate.
For me;
Dalot is better than Porro who can't defend at all, Casemiro is (still) better than Bentancur, Garnacho is better than this version of Son. And it is complicated to talk about Yoro/Romero.
Neville is frustrated that we didn't get British manager (as he said few days ago) and now he is pissing on Ruben and players every single time. Most of clubs would ban him long time ago. Only United allows you to shit on you and at the same time have full access in club area.
