Great footballer, should only ever be part of the front three. You don’t let your best attacker play in a 5 back.
He is very effective at RWB because he has space to run at players. At 10 he has his back to goal. This has been discussed so much on here. Sigh.

I know that really he has to do it for a longer time and all that but I think he might be genuinely world class.

His impact was obvious. Lifted the entire team and we started playing.

This guy is the only reason I’ll have any hope we win the final if he plays.

No disrespect to our current attackers, but just imagine how lethal our front line could be with a couple more players of Amad’s quality in the final third.
Exactly this.

Bruno is the only player that you could say is on Amads level(probably better tbf) in our squad.

Remember when most of our fanbase wanted eth to remain after shafting this talent? I'm just glad the club saw sense.

Manage his minutes conservatively and save him for the final. We can’t afford to lose him, he’s going to make a difference if fit. What a gem we have on our hands.

Changed the match in our favor. Mount will get the headlines but Athletic were bricking it every time Amad had the ball.

Great to see he hasn't lost a bit of zip at all with the injury. Constant threat.

Superb cameo, tore his marker to shreds with his control, speed and movement. We need to get him, Mount and Bruno in the team together consistently as they all like to move the ball fast and they all have the technique to do it.

The difference in what he offers, versus Garnacho, is astounding. His creativity and dribbling is top, top, class.
I see them as different types of players, a lesser version of Messi and Ronaldo. Amad is all technique and speed, Garnacho is more direct and shooting.

He is unbelievable. His talent is incredible. If he plays regularly next season, he could be player of the season.

He definitely has World-Class potential. Like you say, he needs to do it for longer, but it feels as if he's on the cusp of it.
He struggled with injuries and with managers not giving him a fair chance. It took him several games to get the rythm of epl but his talent was always very much apparent. next season he will be amazing if not injured he showed more than enough to be an obvious starter if available.

Did Diallo shag EtH's mom or something? I can't believe any pro manager couldn't see how good Diallo is, while watching him every day.

That's the issue with tactics, just play 3 forward instead of a striker and two 10's, Tweak the system enough to let your best player flourish instead of asking them to run back 90 minutes tracking their left winger.

His technique and touch is world class.

What we've been missing these past few months. We still need Cunha or someone else in the team who can dribble past defenders, otherwise he can easily be double marked out of the game.

Senior figures at the club have rightly got a lot of criticism over the years, so it's also worth highlighting that they got it spot on when they signed this kid a few years ago, for a seemingly large fee, when he had barely played first team football.

Although that does make the following windows where we signed almost exclusively players ETH used to manage even stranger.

Such a breath of fresh air. Pure quality. Watching Diallo play always makes me think: "What if we had just one or two other players like him in the side?"

Game started when he and Mount stepped on the pitch. The injection of pace, intensity, flair just completely swung the game around. Bilbao players obviously started to tire a bit at that point but it doesn`t take away a lot from their performances.
This guy puts a smile on my face.

he looks absolutely dialled in right after coming back from a long lay off

rooney took 12 games, amad doesn't take 12 strides

what was ten hag seeing?

God I’m so happy he’s back. He would’ve clean sweeped our POTY if he stayed fit. He was in ever better form than Bruno before injury.

Vital he starts the final. Keep him out of all PL games apart from the last 15/20 mins.

He's so so so so so much better than Garnacho in every department. I genuinely believe that who starts out of those two is likely to decide the final - with Amad we'll have a genuine out ball who can hold the ball under pressure, find teammates, and is likely to take the chances that come his way. If it's Garnacho, they'll regain possession from him easily and keep coming back at us until we buckle.

Yeah, he looked quality in his YouTube videos when we signed him. Watching him in the academy, it was clear he was a fantastic talent. Van Bronckhorst at Rangers didn't have a clue, whilst Amad absolutely lit it up at Sunderland. Ten Hag did him no favours, but he's still managed to come through all of that and become the player that he is currently.

Exactly this.

Bruno is the only player that you could say is on Amads level(probably better tbf) in our squad.

Those two are the only two attackers in our team who truly belong at this level.

Literally played as an attacking midfielder today and changed the game. Why are you sighing on an internet forum?
