One of my best mates is in a band...

He's also an absolutely unreal guitarist and just puts most of the musicians I have seen to shame

You and Eyepopper annoy me, everytime I listen to one of your tracks I feel obliged to learn the guitar, and it always fails. Bastards!
They scare me out of posting anything because they're efforts are generally miles better than anything I'd be able to come up with :nervous:

You should learn though. It's a decent past time, and a great bordem killer and stress relief, even if nothing comes of it, and no matter how good you think you're getting (or competent, in my case), there's always some gimp out there who's about 500,000 times better.

Yeah I think it could really help me at times, to calm down and stuff. I just can't concentrate on teaching myself. I think lessons would probably work.

Good stuff Kinks. Really like that song.... some pedal steel guitar would sound brilliant on it IMO.

What are you using to make the vids by the way? Wouldn't mind giving that a go.

I must have heard it ten times today. It's got a quality to it that I can't put my finger on. Some parts of it's just intense.
I think the song sums up the current mess in Ireland and Irish people feel it. The content touches a nerve to the point where I feel it sort of wells up inside of you an emotion to actually WANT change

I sent it into RTE a few months back and didn't get as much as an email response. They have their heads so far up the governments arse it's not tue

Fairs fair then. I had a spare few minutes yesterday, so here's my half arsed, semi improvised attempt at a song. Please don't judge too harshly :nervous:

I like this you've got a good voice. Why do you not use a pick though?
I only had one left, then my missus came round, who also plays guitar, and when she left, It wasn't there anymore.

This has been going on for months, and it's now under dispute as to who's pick it was in the first place. Except I know it was mine because I remember stealing it from my dad's house.

The other thing is if I'm recording using a shitty built in laptop mic, using a guitar pick tends to feck up the sound quality.

The most important thing, noods, is do you have a tache?

Because it looks like you do. That's not good. Not good at all.

Is that reason because you have a massive gay tache?

I assumed you were doing one of those 'Grow a tache for charity' things. Well, actually I assumed you were a raving faggernaut, but I thought I'd give you the benefit of the doubt.

Good song though, Freddie.

I haven't shaven since then, and I still don't have a tash. Even if I did it'd probably just look cool.

I don't know what any of you are on about

Just had a chance to listen to it now. Nice song Noods in fairness. And yes, what they say about the tache is true

Cheers all. I should point out that I'm clearly lacking in talent behind everyone else who's posted something in this thread...you fecks.

Anyway. Since the first one didn't result in total humiliation, here's another song;

Notice the undeniable lack of a tache

I prefer this one to the last one. Commendable. Would be great to hear it done on a four track or something. The hissing from laptop mic's always fecks me off.

Noods really went to town on that tache, didn't he? I bet he was using cut throat razors and everything, moaning away to his missus..

'Still not close enough. I can still see it. And if I can see it then they can see it. Will you wax my face?'

It'll end up like that Simpsons episode where Mr Burns tells some bloke to shave his sideburns even though he has none.

Good song though, noods.
