He's not even an Italian legend.
In Italy he sort of is. He had been around since 17 yrs of age. He is Roma's most influential player in the past 20 yrs. He was a crucial figure in the world cup team and his marriage with Blasi is loved throughout the entire penisula (both are down to earth and loved by the majority of Italian people).

Well he picked a bad injury before the world but was still one of the most creative players in the team. Without his controversial goal against Australia, Italy would not have passed.

Scoring that Penalty he didn't win? I don't think he was a significant figure at all in their World Cup win, imho. Flattered to deceive for Italy really.

His creativity spark and his experience was greatly missed in the current national team. He was in fact one of the first Lippi sought to take him out of retirement (and failed miserably). Totti is well respected in Italy. He may not be rated alot outside the country but he is loved there.

In Roma yes they love him, as for the rest of Italy they are thankful for his worldcup efforts but I really don't think they consider him a legend.

He is respected lot in Italy. The couple Totti-Blasi had been voted as the most popular and loved couple in Italy. I watch Blasi on the Italian media (Le Iene etc) and she is really lovely. She reminds me alot of Hayley, cute but down to earth.

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has revealed his unhappiness with striker Mario Balotelli following their 1-1 draw with Fulham.

City took an early lead at Eastlands, with Balotelli firing home a smart finish, but Fulham fought back and claimed an equaliser through Damien Duff.
Mancini's men could not find the winner and Mancini was quick to reveal that Balotelli was not up to standard.
"I am not happy with Mario," said the City boss.
"I know him very well and I know he can play better. He can play for the team.
"He scored a fantastic goal, but there were still 70 minutes left.
"He can't lose the ball all the time. Every time the ball went to the front, we didn't keep it."
Shock horror

He is a bit of a joke, doesn't look interested and his effort and work rate are absolutely shocking at times. I know he has scored a few goals but when I have watched City live this season he has been awful.

He's throwing his own footballing career down the drain. No one will want him if he carries on. He'll only end up with nothing.

Pathetic person.

He needs to cop on if he wants to live up to his 'potential'

His work-rate is non existent and he quite frankly doesn't look interested most of the time. His demeanour on the pitch smacks of 'I don't want to be here'

he's too good, I he doesn't even get out of first gear, unlimited potential

he's got that Ronaldo factor about him, everytime he plays you expect him to score
His goal aside everthing about him was average last night. He will never be as good as Ronaldo.

Superbly taken goal last night. Great technique. However, he is a very unlikeable presence on the pitch, regardless of the team he is playing for. Surly? Arrogant? I can't quite put my finger on it.

People bang on about how he's shit, won't make it or is too weak mentality wise, but his record is astonishing.

15 games 11 goals. Considering he's been subbed on/off for many of those matches, injured and under performing, he's having a very productive season.

The boy will go to do big things, there's no doubt for me, his problems (fecking idiot) aren't enough to hold back that potential, he's a special talent. I'm just hoping it's not with god damn City.

He plays like somebody shat in his cornflakes

I've never seen somebody look so angry after scoring:lol:

Nah he lets players go often, unwilling to track them. He's improved his pressing I'd give you that.
He has improved the defensive side of his game quite a-bit since his younger days.

It can depend on how the game is going, he can often lose interest in tracking back etc, but he definitely has improved in the work-rate department.

I think he could be better, he has all the attributes.
Better than Ronnie? No way. I wouldn't mind having a wager he never wins Balon d'Or or is ever widely considered 1 of the greatest players of his time.

He's so fecking lazy it's unreal.

Has he done absolutely anything in his career to suggest that day will ever come?

Some people are so mentally disjointed they let it piss their career away. You wonder if he cares, he's getting paid so what?
Very true. I hate to see talent wasted but what else can you say? At least we can be thankful that it's not our problem to sort out.

Ronaldo was Wayne Rooney compared to Mario Balotelli. Their "laziness" comparison isn't even debatable.
