I can't remember the last time the FA reduced a ban on appeal. UEFA always seem to do it, but the FA seem pretty steadfast, if anything they increase their punishments.

Sorry but anyone who watched that and thought he was aiming at them as a viewer is a fecking idiot. I mean, properly, unsafe to be allowed out of their own, should probably be under 24 hours supervision, deluded whackjob.

You can't say some swearing is OK but some isn't, it's ludicrous, anybody with half a brain can see that. Either you crack down on all swearing or you let it all go, common sense tells us that grown men swear, especially in such highly fueled emotional situations, get the feck over it.

The England international has until 1800 BST on Tuesday to launch an appeal against the FA charge.

If he accepts it, he will receive a two-match ban - if he denies the charge a hearing will take place on Wednesday.

Presumably the offence Rooney committed carries an automatic punishment when a player receives a red card for it, in the same way that violent conduct carries a 3 game ban. The difference being that the rule Rooney broke is never ever enforced.

Maybe don't put a mic on your camera when shoving it in players faces. They swear in every sport. American sports mic the field but they never run it live. They realized they couldn't do that in the 80s because of players swearing. They listen to it, then run it after.
