Angel Di Maria
He was at fault for the first goal which was a very amateurish mistake and the third goal in which he got nutmegged and completely done by a league one player. I rate both Jones and Smalling higher myself. Haven't seen enough of Rojo yet. He was worse than Keane in the MK Dons match without question. By no means is Keane the better CB though.Who did look good against MK Dons? Evans wasn't the only player to underperform, far from it.
Yes, because a single game decides how good you are.yeah he looked amazing against MK Dons....... oh wait
Seems to happen every game!1 CM?
I hope generic Englishname #1 and Englishname #2 don't overrun us in midfield today

He's injured.Surprised Rafael missed out. I'd play him over Valencia anyday.
Thats why we are buying Blind, I presume. He is not at that level yet but certainly a lot closer than FletcherFletcher is not even close to being anywhere near being a premiership holding midfielder
Yes, he was worse. He costs us 3 goals from his individual errors and the overall lack of any confidence or skill. What about that freaky hand ball for which a penalty kick should've been awarded in that league cup tie, hm?He wasn't worse than Keane, but, yes, he should have done better. So should basically every Utd player that game. He wasn't the only player to underperform. At least his error was a freak mistake. I'd be more worried if he was constantly out of position, which he wasn't. Rio and Vida made freak mistakes also. People are going way overboard on his performance.
He's still injured. Van Gaal confirmed that.Surprised Rafael missed out. I'd play him over Valencia anyday.
Thankfully, Van Gaal won't be as knee-jerk in his thinking as your average caftard.Any extreme outcome to this match could be devastating to the rest of our season.
If we lose, obviously the meltdown will be fully on.
If we smash them, LVG might be stupid enough to think he doesn't need to go after another stud midfielder in the next 2 days.
Rather sadly, I agree. He really shouldn't be anymore.Fletcher has no business being in the side. After the international break he wont be.
I'd rather put Jones in the side over Fletcher.Who else plays? Anderson?
Hopefully Blind is in ASAP and Carrick can come back asap ..... would fix all of those issues.
What a stupid post.yeah he looked amazing against MK Dons....... oh wait
Recently....2 years recently...my wordRojo is an orthodox LB, look it up. Blind started his career as LB, only recently was tested as DM, but played the LWB role in the WC.
He is right, you know, Jones is a hard worker. Don't know about Smalling, he is about the same quality as Evans, which means his below average. Are you for real?
Im not saying Anderson is great but Fletcher is now shocking. Ando would not be as bad and at least offer an option to the defense. Fletcher is no option at all.Really? Ok drop Fletcher ,who instead of him?
We're just waiting for Rafael - perfect for this system if he stays fit - and Shaw to come back and then they won't be.I hope Di Maria, Mata, Van Persie and Rooney have enough individual quality to beat this lot, and they should. I still really worry why we are still persisting with both Valencia and Young in the wingback positions, though.
a few more weeks and adding those two, Herrera and a more settled experienced defence and we will be grandAh okay. Nothing new in that case. Shame, he and shaw would be great instead of young and Valencia.
Almost certainly, seeing as one of the players getting it to them is very creative himself (di maria)Will we get the ball to the creative players today? Lets hope so. Valencia and Young need to take more chances with their passing, as do the whole defence.
I'm probably being harsh on Valencia. He's not been terrible and on paper makes for a decent wing back. I'm just very eager to see what a fully fit Rafael can do in this season. He's injured.
Plus Valencia was nowhere near as shit as you'd think from the comments on here in his last start. 1 assist, 3 interceptions, 6 tackles won, 92% pass completion.
And what's more, if he couldn't get it done in the last few weeks, it's unlikely he will get in done in the next two days although time will tell.Thankfully, Van Gaal won't be as knee-jerk in his thinking as your average caftard.
I mean, i guess but Anderson has been just as bad but more consistently over a longer period. He's had way too many chancesGood shout Jones but seriously as bad as Anderson has been Im shocked that Fletcher is ever to pull on red again.
Evans, for a 26 years old defender, is very averageAre you for real?
Seems?Seems to happen every game!
I've always wanted to stroke a Unicorn, such is life.I'm probably being harsh on Valencia. He's not been terrible and on paper makes for a decent wing back. I'm just very eager to see what a fully fit Rafael can do in this season.
He can play both positions DM and LB, but plays more at left back, I watched a lot of Ajax matches in recent years and I follow eeredivisie very tightly.Recently....2 years recently...my word
He said he's very close to being back.Is Rafael ever fit?
