Are we going to see a reaction or just more empty words?
Sorry Marcus but you've been absolute dog shite lately. There's no direction or focus in that team, players don't have a clue what they're doing when they get the ball. We need to buy players that can create and finish.

I guess if we don't win this I can get excited about some youth players coming in against Cardiff and Huddersfield, since we'll have nothing to play for.

That is unless the other top 4 challengers feck it up too and drag us right back in yet again
I think we'll win Sunday, after surely our worst record in 30 years, of 0-3,0-4,0-2 on consecutive games

We did once lose, 3-6,0-5,-1-2, but at least we scored in this run!

If he plays in the U23s tonight, guaranteed he won't even be on the bench.

It's Chelsea not Fulham at home. They are very unpredictable. Not sure if it's the right time to risk him. Last game of the season if 4th is gone, then yes
Fair enough. It would be nice to have more to look forward to than just the pre-match beer.

Even shit teams break their bad form at some point. Remember how Sunderland were so shit in the league but pulled an incredible result out of their collective arse so many times.

Reckon we are almost as bad now, so we might actually do the unexpected and beat Chelsea.

We are not creating any chances let alone scoring. Im not greatly optimistic after recent displays. Hopefully we get a 1-0 win...
Roll on a big clear out and some decent players in who can play and want to give their all.

Chelsea away to the teams we've lost to on this run (minus Barca because they havent played them):
    • 2-0 loss to Everton
    • 2-1 loss away to Wolves
    • 2-0 loss away to Arsenal
    • 6-0 loss away to City
So when you try to use the "recent performances" as a basis for being negative against them, shouldnt you also use their performances? Or are we the only club that has bad runs of form while everyone else is amazing (crazy how we've closed a 10 point gap with all the top 4 contenders since Ole took over if they're all so much better than us).

    I would take a 1-0.
I'm averaging 0.33 United goals per game I've been to this season.
    9 games!

    Greenwood?

He just played the whole game for the U23s...no chance.

The rest of that team will lose easily especially with Darmian in there.
It could all go down to the final game. Chelsea go to Leicester which won’t be easy.
We need to go all out here

Team that beat Chelsea away in FA Cup:

    Romero
    Young Smalling Lindelof Shaw
    Herrera Matic Pogba
    Mata
    Rashford Lukaku
Think Ole will go with a diamond again. Seems to go with that or a 352 system in the tough games. Either way, between now and the end of the season, it'd be nice to see us stick to a system. We've been changing way too often.

All it takes is one win on sunday, and we will probably qualify for the C.L - how incredible as it may sound.

Objectively speaking even with a win we'd still be at a big disatvantage and will be counting on not one but both of Arsenal and Chelsea fecking up after that. I don't see us thrashing Chelsea and catching them on goal difference.

Just hope Herrera plays. 9 games with him and lost 0 won 8. 9 games 9 loses without him. To be fair, he seems like the only player that has a brain and is able to get stuck into matches. Desperately need to beat Chelsea top get into top 4. Then score 5 goals against Huddersfield, Cardiff and united are in. Simples:D

If there's any team you would want to play in our form, it's a team who are capable of equally terrible form who happen to be a rival for a top 4 place we are somehow in contention for, still...

I will take a comfortable 0-2 defeat with a couple of slightly encouraging moments from some of our lads.

We need to win this by at least 2 goals if we want to have a chance for TOP 4.

It's between us and Chelsea. Arsenal will definitly lose points against either LCFC or Burnley away.

    Chelsea 67p +21
    United 64p +13

    a win by 2 goals

    Chelsea 67p +19
    United 67p +15

We will play Hudder away and Cardiff home while Chelsea will play Watford home and LCFC away. so there's definitly a good chance of outscoring them.

    ************************************

I wouldn't play Lukaku or Lingard.

Was it two years ago something similar happened with Van Gaal, and despite no team seeming to want 4th, and it being in Man Utd's hands on several occasions, the players simply didn't rise to it?

I can't see a Man Utd win. It seems with pressure a lot of them can't make decisions or make it happen.

The only thing absolutely certain is we will concede goals. What our response will be is only slightly less certain.

We sure do. Everything is very tense. The players and the fans and OT with 75000 can be like a library.
    We need to start well.
We need the fans to be very noisy.
And of course we need to keep Hazard quiet for the whole game.
I would be ecstatic with a win by the odd goal but am not confident because we cannot keep a clean sheet.
    So 2-1 would be brilliant.

I’m struggling to get enthused about this one. It seems obvious that we will lose and the club is tweeting videos of Nani scoring against Chelsea. That’s the worst indictment of this team, they have made me nostalgic for Nani.

Chelsea are a beatable side unlike Barca and City. Would plump for a 2-1 win myself. Hopefully something better after some poor results anyway.

Players like Rashford, Lukaku and Martial (if they start) need to get their finger out.

Form of us/Arse/Spurs/CFC is poor, don't think any of us has won more than two of the last five. If we can win our games still think that we scrape fourth.... and it would be scrape.

Arsenal have a revived Leicester and Burnley away... if Chelsea lose to us, they have Watford and Leicester (away) .... Spurs have to juggle CL semis.

It's doable IF Ole drops some of the crap like Young and the players step up.

Crazy top 4 race this year but we're definitely out if we don't pick up a win in this one. A point won't be good enough.

It was a clumsy joke about the apathy that has set in with many supporters.

It's also exactly what will happen tomorrow.
Ah I did think you might’ve been joking. Hopefully the players will be up for this one, a draw is no good for either side so it should be a good game.

Don't win this and we're done. We've been given so many opportunities to take top 4 and we constantly feck it up.
I know. It's ridiculous the amount of dropped points from Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal....to a degree that if we'd have just beaten Wolves, competed with and beaten Everton, perhaps got a point from Arsenal...we'd be comfortable 3rd. Unbelievable. Instead, despite being so damn close, our current aura is that we are miles off and seemingly absolutely awful.

The squad will look back on the end of this season as being an absolute massive failure given the position they put themselves in. Spurs have lost 12 games for god's sake.
