Of course were going with Basti and carrick. Morgan is out and Herrera isnt a 2 man midfielder as much as people want him to be. Having these two will allow Young to get forward and Blind to add to midfield.

TBF, looking at the team, if we cant win, the players need to look at themselves.

Good not to see Herrera in midfield two, think he never looked good in that position. So if its Martial up front,Rooney will always take his spot.

didn't think we'd play Bastian AND Carrick at home. We'll see how it goes, if we play with the same intensity we should beat them, hope we score early.

This would a great time to start attacking with menace. Of course can assume West Brom will park the bus but we can castrate their defenders with quicker play, players running without the ball and taking shots from outside the box.

A 1-0 win will get us the points but it's time we see our attacking play produce more than 1 or 2 good chances on goal.

Carrick and schweinsteiger actually make sense here. West brom don't press in any way, they just camp out on the edge of their box and then try and counter. Carrick is capable of playing the ball forward quickly through the lines or picking out a player better then anyone, with schweinsteiger right behind him in our team. Herrera doesn't really do that, he makes gaps with his movement, not his passing.

If we get an early goal then it'll be like a 3 or 4-0 game I think. Otherwise, it'll be tight

Midfield selection is fine. Schneiderlin isn't fully ready and Herrera isn't quite right for a 2 man midfield. Good to get 11/11 after missing out on submissions last week.

10/11 Thought he'd go with Jones. Hoped he'd go with Herrera but didn't expect it. Watching BFS and Carrick trying to get the ball past a parked bus is like watching two old widowers playing chess in New York's Central Park. i.e. really boring. This game needs an early goal to save it.

Our squad is insanely thin. No need to ship out Januzaj and Hernandez for example.

Is that a free to air satellite channel and do they show United games regularly? Since we're now not getting so many UK televised PL slots I'm thinking of getting my portable sat dish set up....
Most def not free to air.

Not to sound too pessimistic btw, but this could be a horribly boring match. Pulis against LvG. Lord have mercy.

Herrera dropped, that's a shame. Should have played alongside Carrick or Basti. Good team though

If only we could be trashing West Brom by the 60th minute so Andreas and CBJ get a run around.

It doesn't look right with the two man midfield. I hope I'm wrong but if it doesn't work, it will spark the he never learns argument.

    CAMERON BORTHWICK-JACKSON (from ManUtd.com)
Cultured defender who represented England at Schoolboy level.

Elegant on the ball but a strong tackler, the local lad has plenty of experience of the Nike-sponsored Premier Cup and Milk Cup and can play in a couple of positions in the back four.

A ball-playing defender with good stature and real presence, he has been tried in a holding role in midfield, but looks most at home as a left-footed centre back or on the left side of defence.

The local lad is highly thought of within the club and helped keep things tight at the back during the successful 2013 Milk Cup run. There was a special moment for him when he made his Under-21 debut, at the tender age of 16, against Bolton Wanderers as a second-half substitute.

The 2014 Milk Cup outing saw him score twice in the tournament as the Reds retained the trophy in Northern Ireland, including the all-important winner in the final against Vendee. He pushed on last season, as expected, and made more appearances for the Under-18s (31) than any of his colleagues.

A regular in the defence, he added more to the attacking elements of his game but only scored once, the eventual winner in a 2-1 triumph against Blackburn Rovers. "Cameron has improved and developed throughout the season as well," said Paul McGuinness.

Warren Joyce praised his progress at the start of the 2015/16 season as he adapted seamlessly to life in the Under-21s and also performed in Nicky Butt's Under-19 side in the UEFA Youth League.

They both need to play more minutes than we would have given them.

Besides i'm glad because it allows the likes of Lingard to get some games with us.

It will be a meltdown and rightly so when we fail to score against West Brom.

Canal+ is satellite payable channel like Sky - they always show the same matches that are shown in the UK plus the Saturday 3pm kick off, most of the time it's either United or Arsenal if they are playing on a Saturday afternoon.
For Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup these are shown on BeinSports which is also satellite payable at €11/month

There are probably only about 5 or 6 United matches a season that I don't see live on TV

I just don't get why Herrera is always the player sacrificed and in what world is Schweini and Carrick a good midfield
Cause Herrera have been bad as one of the two midfielders this season, he has been good when playing as #10.
BFS and Carrick is a very good midfield, personally i prefer Schmidfield.

Schneiderlin was left out last match cause of personal things, or was it an injury?

In a world where Herrera looking good in midfield two is a rare thing.

What's up with Schneiderlin. I get a bit worried, because I think Schweinsteiger plays a bit too much. He's been looking quite lethargic recently.

It'll be interesting to hear the OT crowd if we don't break them down.
Yes. Hope I'm wrong but I can't see anything other then a boring game with plenty possession and a few dangerous counters from West Brom.
