Moses going through on goal was a better chance than anything we created.
Of course but that wasnt the point I was making. If I'm not mistaken, that chance came from a Blind mistake. Likewise Zarates from a De Gea mistake. I was referring to chances created directly by West Ham. They have had the better chances but most due to our dodgy defending.

Aside from a few feckups in defense, we're acquitting ourselves quite well. This is no time to be shitting our pants.

I don't understand why people expect so much from a team with so many injuries, if we get a scrappy 1-0 I'll be very happy. West Ham are a good team who have picked up impressive results away from home this season, they don't just suddenly become crap because they are playing us whatever people think.
Spurs ripped them apart last week scoring 4 and it could have been more. Our attacking play is too slow, it needs to change.

Frustrating to see no one picking up the loose ball around the box. We've probably had 6-7 of those recently fall into the same area begging for someone to shoot.

Pretty confident we can get a goal in the second half but the attack is not really happening again. We really need to win this match.

Maybe my standards have dropped massively but think we've been okay. They have had the better chances, but one was a Blind screw up, another a De Gea screw up and also from a corner.

quite lucky not to have conceded so far!
And this is West Ham without 4 of their key players. Even moses was looking decent for goodness sake.

roll on a better second half

Sorry, I thought we were ahead of City, Arsenal with their supposed world class squads and attacking play, and all our other title rivals with a win today, in December.

    Must have imagined that.
We're out of one cup. On the brink of being out in another and what is it at the moment? 4 wins in 11 games or something? We aren't ahead of City so you must have imagined that. We aren't ahead of Leicester either.

We need to switch him and Blind. McNair is a brilliant CB, like Smalling though he's a below average full back.
Feck me you must be easily pleased if McNair is brilliant for you. No matter the position. The guy is not ready yet.
Anyway our main problem is still the offense. Can't believe just hoe incredibly hard we find it to create changes or score a goal

I know he was a crock but I miss Rafael, he always managed to speed up the pace of our play.

Reading the thread, it sounds like my decision to outright skip the first half and watch Hannibal was a good one

It's pointless to ask if we've looked good attacking, but have they? City lost, so a 0-0 wouldn't be a nightmare if we can get it.
First 20 minutes was better, we were playing with confidence and at a higher tempo but then it stopped.

    No we couldn't.

There was absolutely nothing in the Fellaini one and Reid went down like a sack of shit after doing the same thing to Schweinsteiger for the preceding minute. Both red cards would have been very, very, harsh.
Fellaini went over the ball and came down studs down, I've seen them given a lot. Bastions was blatant he literally elbowed him in the throat. Regardless of how Reid went down, it was still contact above the shoulder, it was a red.

They have more important players out and we're at home. We should be doing better

The Carling Cup is relevant now? :D :D :D

    Straws. Clutching.

Fact is with a win today, like I just said, we are ahead of all our title rivals in December. Which is fantastic considering all our injuries, and only year on from Moyes.

Agree with most when they say we started well. Looked like we might actually create a few decent chances. I think the West Ham's chances rocked our confidence though, and theirs grew as a result. Fellaini clearly our most dangerous player in this game, and if we are to score you'd imagine he'll be involved somehow. Shame we picked up yet another injury too.
