Banana skin of a fixture. Expecting a Shelvey or Longstaff goal and Saint Maximin to run riot against Dalot.

He comes across as arrogant on the pitch. Seems to think he’s better than he is, tries do everything on his own far too often and seems to ger pissed off att team mates when they do the same.

That’a just what I can think of on top if my head. I even found Nani less annoying to watch than him, and Nani could properly do your head in at times.
Nani was at least geniunely world class from a skill/technical level. Rash is explosive but when that isn’t there he comes off like a delusional gunslinger.

Will be interesting to see how we perform tonight.
Huge expectations on this one to follow up on first 30 against Palace so will be devastated if we play another Norwich game.

It's early days but if we still look as crap as before and he's not making changes he's accepting it and my excitement in his hiring will deteriorate into thinking it's another false dawn in the making.

That he didn't send them video analysis during their 4 days off has me worried since I thought he'd be all over that.

I had two days off when they were supposed to be playing, which should have ensured being able to watch... grrrr
That is a shame. Hopefully a big win tonight cheers everyone up :).

We haven't had enough training to expect us to look significantly different performance wise. It will be more of the same. All that matters is the result at this point.

If nani got to play on the left essentially as a second striker and was always played to score no matter how poor he looked I can guarantee he’d have put up similar if not much better numbers and performances.

No. You can't just give him Rashford's numbers when he never showed any kind of consistency.

One has to assume that some of the players are not ready to play after having covid. Some of the players may have side effects after the illness. It can be exciting to see the starting lineup.

Yes man. Everyone can score the amount of goals Rashford has if they just play enough games. That's been proven by just looking at the other teams and seeing the thousands of players who have outscored Rashford.

He’s put up similar numbers to Rashford while playing on the right side, his weak side for shooting. nobody can say for sure but I bet he’d be in the same neighbourhood if not even better on the left and playing in every. single. game. for some reason…

Anyway. For some strange reason I fancy Rashford to do well today if Newcastle come at us.

He did, in fact thats all he did apparently. Samuel Luckhurst wrote an article about it and posted it earlier. Ralf and his new coaches are staying at the Lowry and when Carrington was closed they made videos and sent them to the players, then when they got back together they showed them more, he's a massive advocate of video analysis.

This is the last time we play an actual Newcastle side. Post January it will be Newcastle Arabia FC.

What a load of shite. If Nani was world class at anything LVG would've kept him or he would have gone off to impress elsewhere. LVG also played Mata RW remember? And he had a habit of trying players in different positions. If Nani only lacked pace he could've easily played midfield (yet he couldn't ?)

Rash is only explosive? He is a good dribbler with the ability to beat a man and has a great right footed shot with an eye for the goal. Yeah his game has flaws but he's been a very important player for us that doesn't warrant describing him like a pace merchant aka Dan James.

Really? That's great cos I've only heard Ralf himself say that they made the videos during the off days and showed them first on Tuesday.
Our players loved the video analysis last time round.
If they don't want to improve they can go play with the academy and get videos of those games instead.

He's literally beating his man every game he's played this season. Even in the games people bitch and moan about his performance.

Last game he played he dribbled past 2 people like it was nothing (then he fumbled it).

My point still stands. Doesn't he have like 10+ goals a season for the past 5 years? Who else in our squad can say that?

    Marcus Rashford loves facing Newcastle

Marcus Rashford has been directly involved in seven goals in seven Premier League games against Newcastle, scoring four and assisting three. It’s the most goal involvements he’s had against a single opponent in the competition.

Pointless stat. If any other player had played as many games as Rashford against Newcastle he would have been involved in at least as many goals, if not even in many more goals or something like that …

I'll be surprised if we scored more than five goals with how disrupted the training has been over the past couple of weeks. I think we'll win but won't be overexerting ourselves with three games in the space of a week.

You’re saying no one else has played 7 games against Newcastle?
