yeah but its already panicky here.
Although I am not panicking (after 4 league games), I am worried that MCFC are pulling away from us.
I think they have a 100% win record in all games, which is super impressive.

We on the other hand have lost 2 games already, and there is no longer an obvious quick fix (ie. we can't buy the most expensive player in the World - we have this already; we can't hire a Galactico class manager - we have this already).
Basically, Woodward has done everything he can and now its up to the footballing people (players/manager/coaches) to get us winning.

If the poor performances continue, I may start believing in the curse theory.

A bit injured, but also time for a rest. Smalling is a very good player, and Blind is the only player in our team who consistently passes the ball forward, so he must play.
If Baily is injured - fair enough.
But a rest after playing 5 games? Is Baily 45 years old that he needs a rest after playing 5 games?

Why is Mkhitaryan injured for so long? Don't remember him getting an injury against City

Really need a win here, otherwise City will already have clear daylight.

Would be nice to get a good performance to boot, but don't hold your breath.

I agree that the players who haven't been playing and came in should have realised it is their United careers on the line, but that is another issue. The fact that they haven't played much time might have impacted on them being effective. Rojo is just crap, no amount of minutes will change that.
I think that this is a huge issue....not "another" issue.
The 8 new starters who played a few days ago, should've been playing for their lives.
For me, only Herrera played like a man who left everything on the pitch. The rest were just plodding along, happy to pick up a pay cheque at the end of the week.

LVG wanted players to play with their brain (and not their heart), which meant that we played with a slow tempo, but LVG cannot be used as an excuse for poor performances.
And the common statement, "those players are not match fit" - I don't buy this for one second. In the first game of the season, several players from MUFC, CFC and MCFC played their first games. Several players played fantastically well. Pogba returned from a long holiday and in his first game for us, gave his best performance.
The truth is that if you are player who has something to prove, whether its your first game or tenth, you will demonstrate to the fans and your manager that you should be in the first team.

we're so gonna win this one. I wouldn't bet against the league's most talented young player (martial) exploding and getting his season up and running.

I really wish I was this positive. I also hope it doesn't end up like Hull away where we're searching for a late winner, just look at what Arsenal did to them today. Puts into perspective how poor we still are attacking wise.

Watford have been meh at best this year. We should dispatch them. Only win and only game they scored more than 1 goal this year was against West Ham who have so far been the worst team in the league. Just conceded 4 goals to a Tony Pulis side while having 70% possession.

To be fair, Arsenal got their early goal which makes everything soooo much easier, and then enjoyed the benefits of an extra playey before hull gave up and conceded in quick succession. contrast to us, who didn't get the lucky breaks and had to contend with ''one of those days'' feelings - whereas for arsenal, it was always their day. we created good chances in that second half and would have been worth an extra goal or 2

    Shaken, and very stirred......
nah..we have to win this and the pressure is on Jose and the team. We can't be like 6 points behind, not at this stage. I know people say it's early days, but Ferguson always said in this league you need to start well, get points on the board. You can have you're off time later....but playing catch up this early is a bloody tough task...

Meh. Watford won't put 10 men behind the ball. Hull also just had one of those game where they defended for their lives and we just were unlucky. We had 30 fecking shots that game, any other night and we likely put 3 or 4 past them.

I've said before that we have a big problem with players who have basically been told that they are second string and will only play in the cup and then expecting them to give a shit. They should realise that really good performances will give the manager something to think about, but as you say some are just happy to pick up their wages and wait out the season.

Noway should we be accepting a draw here, it should be a routine win. Hope Ibrahimovic gets a couple of goals to keep his run going and to get us the win too.

I think we'll see the side that started against Southampton and Hull.

If we're going to see a surprise selection, I reckon it could be Carrick, with Pogba playing further forward and Rooney wide right, like in the second half against City.

We need Carrick in midfield to provide balance in our team and until such time we do so our midfield we continue to struggle

    Why?

2 losses on the bounce and this won't be an easy game either. A loss would be a disaster, you can see the disharmony creeping in on this forum so imagine how it will be if we lose tomorrow.

Hence my point why I think he'll set up defensively.
Dropping points away to Watford would be shit. Would leave us 5 points behind City and I doubt Mourinho would be content with that

We lost against the best performing team in the league so far and in the Europa while resting quite a lot of players. It's not a crisis where we just need to get a point

We go to win there, draw is unacceptable. But the game will be difficult. Both teams will score, IMO. 2:1 United. Or 2:2.
